The argument against Warner is he wasn't that great. I swear it seems like people only remember that Super Bowl year in Arizona.

When you say Warner is one of the greatest you mean top 30 right? If you think he's in the top 10 or 15 you need to look at his career again.

How so?
He had a great start to his career, fizzled out, and ended on somewhat of a high note.

Except Warner was historically great in metrics that are on the same level or greater than already-HOF quarterbacks.

You can have your longevity argument, but in terms of playing the quarterback position and the greatest to ever play that position...Warner is undoubtedly up there. If you don't agree with that then you just don't know. Simple as that.

I'm sure the metrics look great for him in his 4 good seasons. He played from 98 to what 09? In that span he had 2 elite all time seasons and 2 others that were pretty good. If that constitutes hall of fame, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Elway, Unitas, Young, Staubach, and others need to go to another hall.

Thank you

Randal Cunningham accomplishments

4× Pro Bowl selection (1988, 1989, 1990, 1998)
2× AP First-Team All-Pro (1990,1998)
2× AP Second-Team All-Pro (1988, 1992)
Pro Bowl MVP (1988)
1988 NFL MVP (MX)
1990 NFL MVP (PFWA, MX)
1998 NFL MVP (NEA, MX)
UPI NFC Player of the Year (1990)
PFWA NFL Comeback Player of the Year (1992)

Kurt Warner

4× Pro Bowl (1999, 2000, 2001, 2008)
2× AP First-Team All-Pro (1999, 2001)
1999 NFL MVP (AP, PFWA, NEA, SN, MX)
2001 NFL MVP (AP, NEA)
2008 NFL MVP (NEA)
Super Bowl MVP (XXXIV)
Super Bowl champion (XXXIV)

The main difference is that Kurt Warner has a ring and he has a WAY better supporting cast....Faulk, Pace, Bruce, Holt....those are all HOFers

Explain the metrics to me

So, let me get this right...You're comparing the résumés off of those accolades alone and have convinced yourself that Warner isn't one if the all-time greats because of how those accolades do or don't compare to his peers?

Man, you need to go back and actually watch some football. For real.

Search yourself. It's all out there. I won't argue against ignorance.

Okay Mr. Lombardi :lol

I don't think his career was long enough to make a solid case for the HOF

See above post...And if you really think all those players are "similar" to Warner then I rest my case.

What's your problem?

What could you possibly be watching that tells you Kurt Warner is one of the all time greats? Either you're watching a highlight video or you're a Cardinals fan.

I think Warner makes it pretty easily. A QB who wins 2 MVPs and gets a ring with decent bulk stats?

I've heard nothing but rave reviews about McCown since he's got to Tampa. Also gotta figure in getting Doug back, a better offensive line, Michael Johnson, Verner, Mike Evans, ASJ and actually having a legitimate NFL coach with one of the best defensive minds in the league.

Falcons defense is still a piece of trash, their offensive line still blows and they have no tight end. Panthers have the worst offensive line, secondary and receivers in the league. And I'll say it...their defense as a whole overachieved last year. The Bucs and the Saints are the only two teams in the division that you can't point out any significant flaws.

Bucs are trash..."I've heard nothing but rave reviews about my dookie stain QB" that QB is garbage and haven't proven a got damn thing...you riding hype like you've been doing for 4 years now...WHATS NEW PUSSYCAT WOAHHHHHH OH WOAHHHH

Our Oline is revamped and better than the 2012 Oline we fielded...if Sam Baker is healthy ...that's more than enough talent for Matt Ryan to put your chump bum trick floozy team in a trash can.

"falcons have no TE" listen up Jezebel...falcons are going into this season using more 3 and 4 wideout sets...so the only thing TE will be getting used for on the team is blocking and red zone...TRY AGAIN.

I can't wait to see mike Evans and Vincent "slow as ****" Jackson get shutdown by Robert Alford and Desmond Trufant.

LOL @ amping Michael Johnson..you defense is not the bengals sir...we'll see if he has success on the Yampa Bay Sucs
