V-Jax is so underrated.

Fitz still couldn't put up the numbers he has over the last couple seasons even with Palmer there. Meanwhile V-Jax had the coke king of Tampa and a rookie Mike Glennon throwing to him. I'm sick and tired of seeing Fitz's name still up there in the top 5 when he hasn't even gotten over 1,000 yards either of the past two seasons. Josh Gordon was putting up ridiculous numbers with friggin Weeden and Jason Campbell. And no other weapons around him other than Cameron.

Get Fitz's name out of that ******* top 5. It's not 2011 anymore.

Little late on the new thread. Glad to see it!

Hope to see a lot of this, this year!

Lets go Colts!

What the **** does a players performance in the 08-09 season have to do with right now in 2014.....

LOL remember this post. Romo will also be the comeback player of the year. Romo is due for a standout year.

If the Browns are playing in a meaningful game in week 14 I don't care what anyone here says :lol

So you care otherwise?? :lol

WIR always a good one especially when one of the big NT teams blows a game

Dude I haven't watched a meaningful Browns game in December since like 06 and we didn't even make the playoffs :lol :{

you're spoiled man

I don't know why people can't bring up past SB teams if they are knowledgable about the team and their path to the championship. These fans are often more familiar than some 'fans' are with more recent titles

im all for knowing the history of the team you follow but if youre claiming championships for seasons that you did not witness or were not even alive for, foh (not you specifically just in general). i dont think you were born in the 70s so for example the steelers have 2 superbowls you can claim, cowboys have 3, niners have 5, broncos have 2 etc.

This makes no sense. Franchises exist outside of individuals, it's ridiculous to say that fans can't celebrate a team's history simply because they weren't alive to watch them. If that were the case then why celebrate tradition at all? Why not completely transform a team's image and identity every decade or so to bring in new fans? It would make records and titles meaningless if they couldn't be cherished for generations to come.

Andre Johnson at 33 is still a better player than anyone on the 9ers offensive roster

Nobody is taking you or your team seriously with such an asinine............asiten, asieleven, and asitwelve statement such as that.  Nice try though.

:lol He is though.

Good point.

Claps at TRBs post. Never ignore history, learn it, know it, celebrate it. But accomplish and complete the first two before acting on the latter (otherwise you are an annoying fan)

I have personally never won a super bowl so im personally not claiming anything, but the team i support has won 2 super bowls and all my colts super bowl jackets do say 2 time super bowl champs. if someone asks me how many super bowls my team has i will say 2 (thats pending though because we will have 3 at the end of the upcoming season lol), just because i wasnt alive to witness it doesnt mean im not gonna give them credit for winning it. I have took the time at a young age to learn my teams history

tell me about that 1st raiders championship, those crutial wins and losses throughout that season, where were you week 1, week 12, how was the weather outside, did you watch games solo or with friends and family, did you see that 3rd string wr make that catch to keep a drive alive?, how did a key injury influence that season? you either lived it or didnt. if you did then as a fan claim that championship. if you didnt live it how can as a fan claim that when you were not 'there'.

So I shouldn't like Jim Brown?

my point was in regards to claiming championships and not about liking a player from a different era.

No one is talking about pretending to have been there for the ride. It's about honoring your team's history and respecting what defines the team today.

But I can understand why you wouldn't want to do that. I don't think I'd want to experience the Broncos history before 1997 either.

@franc you being a broncos fan i understand that its hard for you to go back and read the history and watch highlights of the previous broncos super bowl appearances before sb xxxii an sb xxxiii

If that's how detailed I have to remember it I can't even claim 40 or 43 then. I'll adjust my sig
