Just because you have marks doesn't mean you were "beat".
You can barely tap a person with a "switch" and it will leave a mark.
If you walk by a bush and a "switch" hits your arm, there's a good chance you will have a scratch that will lead to a possible long term scar.

But tell me why the lead story on the news is AD being accused of child abuse.
And the second story was about a 43 year old middle school music teacher having sex with a 15 year old.
But wait there's more.
The 43 year old music teacher is HIV POSITIVE!!!!

But AD leaving marks on his kid is the lead story!?!?!?! :{

I come to Niketalk when I want to feel very smart

Stop, barely tapping a person doesn't stay for a week.

That's because yall dudes are so freaking sports talkish you can't be objective on a subject.
I didn't type anything about condoning AD.
I simply provided information relating to the current topic in the thread.
And forgive me for thinking a HIV POSITIVE, sexual predator, caught sneaking out of a fifteen year old kids window by his mom, after likely infecting the child with a life threatening disease, is more heinous than a person whipping there kid with a sixteenth of an inch in diameter piece of limb.

Glad to know I helped elevate your IQ.

And through all of this, Josh Gordon is still serving a 10 game suspension? Even after the new drug policy? NFL is a got damn mess

Naw bro, I'm pointing out that the thinking in this country is warped.
15 year old boy getting rammed by a 43 year old school district employee that didn't disclose he was carrying an infectious disease is 1 million times worse than what AD did.

If what he was doing was a crime, why would he tell the student he has a STD?

and, can we stop talking about that? go mke a thread in the general about it. this is about the NFL

obviously its 100x worse but we are talking about a known superstar athlete, thats why its being talked about :rolleyes

media talks about whats brings in the most viewers. how do you not know about that. look what ESPN does for attention and views

Too many people think because this has happen to them and they turned out "fine" that nothing is wrong. Those pictures show more than scratches and scars, it showed open wounds that are healing up. I've never got a open wound from getting whipped.

This week is crazy for the NFL.

There's spanking and disciplining, then there's beating. It's a fine line and I'm sure it'll create a lot of debate, but from the initial reports.. Peterson went way too far, especially on a kid that age.

yup

everyone i know is arguing he did nothing wrong and how we all got beat like that

he did it in the privacy of his own home and maybe it was or wasnt bad (we dont know) but it was reported to authorities and he was charged. theres nothing he can do about it now and anything he says, doesnt really mean a damn thing. theres pictures and everything. hes been indicted.

i think hes either done for the season and quite a few games which is sad to waste the last good season or seasons he has left

he made his bed, now he has to lay in it

Because it's his 4th violation.

And a 4th violation is 10 game suspension under the new policy according to Ian Rapport.

Worse week ever for the NFL man.

Can't say they didn't have it coming, still too big to fail though.
I used to think that too, but these days I don't believe anything is too big to fail. Or if such a thing exists...it's only a very very very select group, which does not include the NFL.
