At the risk of sounding like the ultimate dbag...there's a part of me that's glad the total cluster **** which its turned into happened to THIS league and THIS particular organization.
If this issue was going to take place no matter what...I couldn't be any more satisfied that the NFL, Roger Goodell and the Baltimore Ravens are the parties involved.
I'm not a Ravens hater. I don't have anything against Baltimore. The 2012 Ravens trounced my team from the playoffs and from then on I was rooting for Ray Lewis and those boys to win it. But over the years I've gotten ******* tired of hearing a bunch of those dudes ***** and complain about every. single. thing. Non-stop whining and complaining when **** doesn't go their way and making claims it's all a part of some league wide conspiracy to screw them. From members of different coaching staffs to the players and it trickled down to (some) of their fanbase.
Now we get the biggest scandal since Big Ben was finessin' broads and it turns out the league did more than a solid for them. I don't wanna hear "WE GOT SCREWED!" talk ever again from those folks. Shut that **** up now.
Even when Roger Goodell was getting standing ovations at the NFL draft (how silly does that look today?
)...I was already tired of his cowboy schtick.
@StillIn729 already alluded to it in here, but for a tough guy commissioner he sure does a lot of reacting to the "here & now" instead of being proactive with known issues.
There are few things I love more than seeing hypocrisy and fraudulence get revealed. Two birds with one stone with this Ray Rice situation.
How's that hot **** feel?
The NFL is king in spite of Roger and his mishaps (IMO). These blunders keep piling up and long term effects will be felt. I think Cuban's comments are very telling
I agree 1000% with all of this. Roger and the people who pay him make Cuban's comments look better by the day.
