Wilson is good at what he does, I'm not denying that. It's great that he does what's asked of him. I would love if Kap didn't make game ruining mistakes, but if you think Wilson is a top echelon QB you're clearly slurping him. Alex Smith and Wilson put up practically the same numbers last season. I think WIlson will be better than Smith, but why do you think Aikman is never lauded as one of the all time greats? Because all he had to do was not make a colossal f*** up.

According to Seahawks fans logic, had Niners won the superbowl in 2011, Alex Smith would be a top echelon quarterback. He did the same damn thing Wilson is doing now.

Alex Smith isn't the leader or dual threat Russell Wilson is.

They lost in the NFC Title game because Alex Smith couldn't pick up a 3rd down to save his life.

Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhno.

The punt returners name must be Alex Smith too then.....

Yeaaaaano. He was 0'fer on 3rd downs until the last play of the game. That's the real reason they lost!

You must owe Kyle Williams money or something. He surely appreciates your efforts tho.

I promise you Wilson would be irrelevant if he played for the Jaguars. Let me see him actually have to do something. Look at Aaron Rodgers tonight, no o line, no defense, 1 receiver and he managed to get 16 points against the best defense since the 02 Bucs. What would Wilson do if the the roles were reversed?

I'll give you the defensive disparity, but Seattle's o-line was HOT GARBAGE last year. Harvin was out the entire season, and Sidney Rice missed half the season (including playoffs). Wilson was running for his life every week.

Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees would all be irrelevant with Jaguars.
Those 3 would up way better numbers if they played for the Jags than Wilson would if he did. Kinda evidenced in Andre wLuck's case as he does play for a crappy team.

Numbers? Is numbers what dictates a better QUARTERBACK?

And you know this though? For a certainty?

Exactly what he does. No hate at all. He lets his running game carry the load, play smart, don't put defense in bad spots, and manage the game. He's great at it and deserves that recognition.

Listen to folks tell it, he makes Lynch great, carries the franchise, most TD's first two years* yada yada yada. What he is asked to do is not anything like Peyton, Romo, Ryan, Brady, Rivers, Luck, Rodgers(!!!!!), Brees, Cam, etc.

They refuse to see that, hence the clash in beliefs. They demand Russ get the same recognition as those other QB's.

I'm not saying Russell is on the same level as Peyton or A-Rod. What I'm saying is that it is moronic to sit there and say Russell does nothing and that the defense carries him through everything. He has proven time and time again that when it is needed of him he can more than step up and deliver.

Why all this Wilson hate nobody says nothing bout kapernick don't he have a good running back and defense just sayin.

when Russell get that contract we'll see what he's all about because Seattle won't have that flexibility

Stop watching football for the sake of everyone around you, you know nothing.

Kaepernick has improved. He improved considerably in the middle of last season. Tha'ts really impressive to me. But, he is not Russell. Not even close. I'm sure in that. His ceiling is probably higher, but he is not the same.

All our key players already locked up for most part so we gone be good
I ain't a salary cap expert but they not keeping them all together for years once he gets paid. At the same time I'm not sure what Russell is gonna get offered but if it's top tier money **** will eventually be different.

How so? What have I said that's wrong? You're telling me that Wilson is on the level of Luck? If that's the case your football knowledge is obviously nonexistent. I like Wilson, I've said said that he's good at what he does, but to put him on higher tier isn't fair to every other qb that's up their. Do the Packers win the superbowl without Aaron Rodgers? Saints without Drew Brees? Colts without Peyton? now tell me if the Hawks win without Russell Wilson
