Rams release QB Case Keenum. Has practice squad eligibility. Would expect someone to pick him up. Played previously for Kubiak

I'm gonna miss Mark Barron for how cool he looked on the field and how he always looked like he was going to take somebody's head off only to completely whiff on a tackle altogether.

Wait, that sounds like our other starting safety too.

typically trade a late round pick for a need at the trade deadline . we need depth badly at the linebacker position , so im not mad at this and the Ayers acquisitions

been wanting to see more mcgloin since preseason, check the raiders thread. was it because carr balled out against the 3rd string seahawks defense that he earned the nod over mcgloin?

Yes. People also think he looks the part because he has the stature of Tom Brady.
Smh

Id rather have a ****** that throws TDs and makes big plays.

Oh really? NT sure has a lot of NFL insiders these days.

First it was NFL circles and Russell Wilson, now it's 'consensus within the league' on Derek Carr...

Word

Carr fans get all hurt when you say something about the "franchise".

Our GMs job is on the line and Carr turning into a franchise is his only hope so he will start and start until we are 0-16.
I actually envy the Jets cuz they are at the end of the tunnel with the Geno project. Our nightmare has just begun.
Carr is a joke.
#parktheCarr

We need to start McGloin and save some dignity. He had us 6th in scoring and 1st in plays over 20+ yards as a rookie....emphasis on rookie.

Carr gets all the excuses. You would think us fans are more to blame than Carr is by the way people defend him.

I thought Derek Carr looked pretty good for a rookie against the Texans

maybe it was because it was the Texans

Horse collar tackles don't apply to the QB when he is in the pocket.

knowing the rules is fundamental

edit: debatable if he actually still in the pocket, but it is close enough to not call it lol

But IceCity is one of Carr's groupies and gets all mad when you say something he disagrees with.

Watkins, Carr, Mack top 'Midseason All-Rookie Team'

With the season halfway over, it's time to roll out our Midseason All-Rookie Team.
Where Uncle Chester at though I notice he ducked my follow up questions?

In all fairness without looking at the stats.

Teddy has played like crap and Bortles just started recently.

How are Carrs stats anyways?
Have to agree that Carr is pretty much the top rookie QB by default right now given the other rookies poor performances and lack of opportunity.  His stats are meh but he's also playing on one of the worst teams in the league. He's also managed to give the worst team in the league an opportunity to win games vs New England, San Diego, Arizona, and Cleveland.

I thought a statistical comparison of Andrew Luck's first seven NFL games vs Carr's was worth looking at because honestly in terms of poise, maturity, and readiness as a rookie, that's who he reminds me of.

Carr's thrown more touchdowns but Luck was able to lead a team that put a few more points on the board and more importantly won games.  Luck was also surrounded by far more weapons and talent. Carr's surrounded by an inept OC, the leagues worst run game, and my man James Jones.

Carr's been more accurate, turned the ball over less, and has the higher QBR but he's also benefited from some painfully conservative play calling from the sidelines.

Obviously stats aren't everything, and I'm sure we can count on ST's finest to somehow conclude that I think Carr > Luck followed by rolling smileys, but I did think it was an interesting comparison.

this is why nobody takes your opinion seriously. you probably thought Bruce Gradowski was getting us back to the promise land

So basically it's a free trade. Not only is New England's fifth-round pick a LATE fifth-round pick and the Bucs sixth-round pick :Dwould be an EARLY sixth-round pick...

New England would use a seventh-round pick better than the Bucs would use a fourth-round pick.
With the way NE has drafted lately ehhh
