I never understood this type of thinking; am I less manly for having a players jersey? My buddy is like this yet he has a bunch of Phillies player tees.

We as fans put too much stock into our own loyalty compared to players, owners, ect.

Helmet rule only allows for one helmet base to be used by each team, if I'm not mistaken (but teams can strip the base helmet to their liking to go with their throwbacks, if they elect to wear one). That's why the Skins && Packers wore their regular helmets with their throwbacks last year, which blew me because the brown helmets originally used for both teams' throwbacks were ill.

When we previously ranked some of Bill Belichick’s best trades with the Patriots, the deal that sent a 2007 first-round draft choice to the 49ers (28th overall) for a 2008 first-rounder (7th overall) and 2007 fourth-rounder was put at the top of the list because of what it produced. The Patriots moved down three spots from No. 7 to No. 10 and selected linebacker Jerod Mayo, and had traded the fourth-round pick to Oakland for receiver Randy Moss. That’s impressive execution, but that’s not to say the 49ers didn’t do well either. With the ’07 first-rounder, they picked left tackle Joe Staley, who added two years to his contract this past week and is now signed through 2019. If a team gives up a future first-round pick, it obviously feels strongly about the player it is taking, and the 49ers nailed it with Staley as well.

Might just be Belichick's finest moment as GM.

Soon, all NFL training camps will be open. For many of the league’s coaches, that can’t come soon enough.

Players left to their own devices sometimes end up in trouble. It happened early Sunday to Rams linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar during a visit to South Beach.

According to CBS Miami, Dunbar was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct following an altercation outside the Dream Nightclub. Also arrested was Donte Green, a free agent who was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the 2008 NBA draft.

Dunbar provides the latest off-field complication for a Rams team that has had its share of arrests and suspensions in recent years. Second-year receiver Stedman Bailey will miss the first four games of the 2014 regular season after testing positive for PEDs.

Dunbar missed the first four games of the 2013 season due to a violation of the PED policy. A 16-game starter in 2012 and 10-game starter a year ago, Dunbar is due to earn a base salary of $751,157 in 2014.

I hate wearing long *** jerseys ESPECIALLY basketball ones.

Honestly though I don't really wear jerseys during or at a game.

Helmet rule?

Last year the NFL put a ban on alternate helmets for "player safety reasons".  With the rationale being that that it's safer for a player to stick with the same helmet for the entire season because new helmets take time to be broken in properly.

In reality it likely has a lot more to do with the NFL wanting to cover its *** than player safety. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9694560/no-break-process-new-nfl-helmets

In the future if the NFL puts a ban on players wearing discontinued helmets, I wouldn't be surprised if alternate helmets come back.

Yeah, it's a joke and straight BS. An old and new helmet makes no difference on the concussions. They've already came out and said that. It's shocking because you would think the NFL would want throwbacks to be worn by as many teams to sell gear. Jets and Eagles need to go back to their old green. Philly should troll and permanently wear those baby blue and yellow jerseys

sure. football and soccer games are once a week or so. so i'll throw on the jersey whether i'm watching at home, at a bar, or at the game. hockey and baseball games are so often, that i'll usually only rock the jersey if i'm headed to the game. that's really the only logic i have behind it. no issue with people who always wear their jerseys or rarely wear em though.
