Soto said from the beginning no deferred money., so yanks offer had all the money there. At the end of the day it prob came down to the to the bonus and it looks like they have him an opt out after year 5 and if he declines his opt out, gets a 5 mil/yr increase from $51 mil to $55 mil per year.

They are paying the $75 signing bonus bc NY doesn't charge tax for non-residents. His regular contract will be taxed bc games are played there. Signing bonus is exempt.
