NEW YORK METS 2010 SEASON POST: Collins named New Manager

Anyone remember when Clippard tore the Mets apart when he was with the Yankees? I think it was his first big league start. I'm glad we got to him this time and that Strasburg didn't have a similar debut against the Mets.

Thole looks good, I'd like to see him around long-term.

Side note...I wish we'd wear the blue hats with the grey away uniforms.

Gameday shows strike 3 to Zimmerman but the !%%+$@% ump calls ball 4.

Who DIDN'T see that coming.

THIS.

I was in the crowd to see Delgado have 9 RBI and saw the Mets with the blue caps with the road jerseys.  I think it's a sharp look and wish they could wear the blue caps more often (esp with the road unis)

They went with this look because it was their final game ever in the old Yankee Stadium

Do you ever post anything positive?

Ike strikes out often at times and he's a rookie, and David was on a torrid pace before last month. K's come with the homers/runs driven in.

The K's are definitely a problem, but as long as they continue to drive in runs, I don't really care. It's when they strike out with men in scoring position or on third with less than 2 outs where I get angry.

K-Rod you are lucky Ike just bailed you out...

Even scoring 9 runs this game was making me sweat, we really need someone in the bullpen to step it up and just shut it out.

and Wright and Reyes making the all star team

Too bad Pelf didnt make it.. i think he would have made it if he didnt struggle his past few starts.

But what was the purpose of bringing it up, as if nobody knows about it? This team hits homeruns and they strike out as well, if they weren't driving in runs or hitting for power than it would be a concern.

Ike is a rookie so ups and downs are normal, and Bay has been under-achieving this year. David was on a torrid K pace to start the year but that's settled down now.

yeah guess you're right. lets see what we can do against this hot cincy team

I'm pretty sure I just saw that both Heilman and Mota blew games today. As frustrating as Frankie is, remember when we had to deal with those bums?

3-4 road trip that very easily could've (probably should've) been 5-2. If we can with both of these series against the Reds & Braves before the All Star break, I'd be VERY happy.

yeah let's all be positive for right now because after the season from hell last year im content with the team being 10 games over .500 and 2 games outta first place halfway through the season. they have the 4th best record in the NL and if they can go into the all star break hot, then ill be very happy.

almost every magazine predicted them to have a 4th place type season and some even picked them to finish last so you can argue to an extent that they've been shutting people up. there's 80 games left though, i just want them to make the playoffs this year regardless if it's as a wild card or by winning the divison.  get in and anything can happen.

nice win today but i'm a tad bit annoyed knowing that they coulda swept this series rather then split it.   the 2-1 loss on thursday, and the 2 run blown save yesterday are the type of losses that really come back to bite you in the behind at the end of the season when your only a game or 2 back in the division or wild card race.
