Well if you ask me KD been the best player in the world since 2017. But yea the masses don't want to give him credit as long as he's on GS, they ready to anoint anybody but him to the title it seems.

How wild is it that due to the media narratives we may actually go from “Bron is the best player in the world” to “Giannis is the best player in the world” without skipping a beat and like KD didn’t ever exist??

This is where people underrated influence. I’m not sure if it’s his personality or size of his teams’ market but if KD was more popular, he would have been anointed the media now.

If he didn’t go to gsw he would have been anointed by now. That’s it right there

The idea is that playing next to Steph dray and Klay invalidates anything that he’s done

Embiid anointed him as the best. KD to Philly confirmed

Is this the only series since the dynasty where people are giving GS a legitimate chance to lose before a series starts? No one expected them to lose the 3-1 year.

Im excited with GS/Rockets and Boston/Bucks man

Parity byke?

If we're being real it's hard to tell how good KD actually is. A big part of the reason he doesn't get that kinda love is because not only did he join the team that beat him but he played like dog **** prior to doing it. The warriors blowing a 3-1 lead made people kinda forget that the thunder blew a 3-1 lead with Durant giving you subpar hooping. That was a regular occurrence in the postseason with KD and it wasn't all on Russ.

What makes someone the best player in the world? I see both sides of this argument. Does he win B2B FMVPs without those dudes? Not likely. Is he still undoubtedly the most talented/skilled person in the league? I’m not gonna argue that. The fact that fans and the man are acting like he’s had a TMac legacy is disappointing.

GSW is the better team but as I have said before, assuming most of the regulars are in our mid-to-late 20s through 40s at most, we haven’t seen a team in their fifth straight title run. **** on on your body, less rest, disinterest, celebrating, etc. Think about how long it’s been since a team 3Peated. Folks are actively trying to not put respek on Steph’s name.

KD knows what he has to do to get the credit he deserves from everyone. I just don’t know if he cares enough about that.

Folks in here love to downplay Draymond's overall impact on the team. Refreshing to hear this take.

spend enough time in the nba season thread and you’d think that dray was just marvin williams with a chip on his shoulder

cats absolutely LOVE to say dray is overrated but then flip the script and cry “unfair” and “superteam.”

I actually like Steph more than KD but you really think his B2B FMVPs mean nothing? Especially after what happened the postseason prior?

Gosh darn it JD  You are one of my favorite posters because you’re always lurking in the rafters like Sting and whenever a regular posts something incorrect you come through with the receipts   :Respect. Next time I’m in Boston, beers on me

JD is living receipt dispatcher, what what you say around that man

What about the postseason prior with KD tho? That boy CHOKED. And he doesn't have any of the excuses the warriors had. That's why I said his legacy was on a harden path before gsw. They didn't call him Mr. Unreliable for nothing

Yesterday you just said they were "beatable" for 2 years now...now you saying if KD leaves it's "restoring the competitive balance to the league"

As the only team in the league with 2 MVP caliber players on it yea in that sense balance will be restored.

Real talk no rustle - I low all y’all dudes so I don’t want folks I was joking about the Lebby slander.

Having said that, given my current situation, I am down to host the 2019/2020 NTNBA Summit. Likely will have to be in NYC or Philly but this event had such epic potential that I imagine everyone there.

Thots?

As an aside, browsing past espn the past few days, it’s somewhat disturbing to see the turnout for the nfl draft

These mfers are something else. Look like hundreds and hundreds of people crammed into the streets of Nashville just to hear some names announced. I guess it’s really that serious

It's the NFL. Everything is an event. Every year the NFL draft is big.
