KD went out in the 3rd quarter of a game that was a coin flip. Harden disappeared in the 4th.

Steph Curry had ZERO points in three 1st half of a game 6 at home and they still couldn't pull away. Unstoppable Harden couldn't take advantage and close the deal. This was his biggest choke job yet.

I mean he certainly wasn't complete **** in THIS elimination game.

Given his team construct, he essentially needs to have the best playoff performance of anyone ever in order for his team to win against Golden State, and when he doesn't do that, he is a choker. Seems wild.

Since you like to post stats

Gordon
17.8/2.5/1.3 44/40/85 60% TS

Klay
18.3/3.9/1.7 45/41/93 56% TS

Now you're gonna tell me about how THESE stats are lying. I'll wait

Cut the they weren't supposed to win act. It's ridiculous. They should of won this series easily once KD went down.
With KD, I agree tho Houston was supposed to lose.

Is it really hyperbole? I legit can't think of anyone that has had a similar offensive burden in my lifetime other than Bron on a successful team.

And dudes were saying he choked as well.

harden's a great scorer and one of the best at knowing how to draw fouls but to imply that he has to do a bulk of the lifting on offense by saying "offensive burden" is disingenuous. how much of that "burden" is caused by the fact that his game is heavily dependent on him having the ball and playing ISO? he's got a top 10 PG in his backcourt and Eric Gordon, who is capable of being a playmaker but has been relegated to being a catch and shoot player with the rockets.

i'll say that it aint all on harden, Dantoni's gotta take a lot of heat for relying so much on that offense 82 games a season and not even trying to run action through other ballhandlers.

Games were well within reach in the 4th quarters of game 5 & 6 and Kevin ****ING Durant is out.

“He needed to have the best playoff performance of all time to win”.

:rolleyes

I saw posts all year that he’s better than Jordan/Kobe/Wade whoever but when he can’t beat a KD-less Warriors team it’s, “well, what did you want him to do?”

This is coming from a James Harden Stan. I’ve been rocking with bruh since ASU.
Folks are acting like he had 15 points on 30% shooting.

I said right when the game ended that he settles far too much for that stepback and deserves criticism. The turnover on the inbounds pass was terrible, but generally I'm not going to be surprised if someone that has the ball as much as him has turnovers. He most certainly deserves blame.

Yes, he needed to be better. I just don't see how that automatically means he choked.

Like @dcallamerican said, I think a lot of us just have different definitions for that term. Is what it is.

Westbrook in the playoffs

41/30% with 4 turnovers a game

Harden in the playoffs

41/32% with 4.5 turnovers a game

It's funny cause all the Rocket truthers were saying as much. Now they didn't have the horses to get it done against a KD-less Warriors. The team that had zero depth according to them? Nah.

That addresses nothing that I said. Steph really the MJ of this generation since Lebron said his biggest achievement was beating him.

Oh, btw, they were going after KD regardless before that loss, Bron didn't make them do anything.

Bron was also recruiting KD that year too...

Fox News and LeSPN nor LeJump tell you those storylines.

Don't yall have a hate thread for this nonsense?

I won't say easily but games 5 and 6 was right there for "Magic Harden" and he ain't get it done.

I don't think anyone is saying Harden doesn't deserve any blame. I know I'm certainly not. I just think it's a combo of things. Saying it all falls on Harden choking is disingenuous.
