The Harlem Renaissance doesn't have **** to do w/ why NY is referred to as the basketball Mecca. In fact...the Harlem Renaissance took place in a completely different era from when people started calling NYC the basketball mecca. Like multiple decades apart.

If the problem is that tall kids are forced to being post players in America then why do European players have better post moves?

because they teach you post moves overseas and in the states these lazy coaches say just use your athleticism and strength to overmatch your opponent word to amare

if Julius randle worked on his post moves rather than rely on his Blake griffin athleticism he might not have gotten hurt

they def did play. Basketball was in the Olympics in Berlin 1936 and the first NIT tournament was in 1938 and the first D-1 championship in 1939.
