Yall can complain bout the officiating, but Rick Pitino severely outcoached his opponent.

This!

Explain.

Does it really need to be explained?

Adjustments wise, Pitino sits a struggling Russ to start the 2nd. He sat the tournament leader in points and decides to run the offense through Behanan. How many coaches, if any, would sit the tournaments leading scorer in the championship game. Behanan was the a Monster in the 2nd, absolutely dominated inside, Michigan had no answer. Russ still almost loses this game for Louisville. Michigan never could stop Siva from penetrating. Hancock got all the credit for scoring, but it was the penetration from his teammates breaking down the defense that set up all his shots. 2nd half subsitution patterns greatly favored Pitino as well. Beilein left Spike in fer way too long, Siva was driving past him at will, and he contributed nothing in the second half. He was a non factor once Burke came back in cause he no longer got to control the ball. Beileins handling of late game situations was also very poor. At one point, during a must foul possession for Michigan out of a timeout, he leaves Burke in when he already had 4 fouls. They ended up wasting 20 seconds on that play, cause Burke couldnt foul out. He also thought Louisville was in the bonus when they were still in the 1 and 1. Even Pitinos timeout management was better than Beileins in the second half. Pitino straight up outclassed Beilein. He's in the hall for a reason.
