Mr. Robot: Wednesdays at 10 PM on USA

the only reason I can't let go of the psych ward theory is because the "visitors" always sit in the same chair... and none of them have interacted with his "mom", and the scene always jumps to the person being in the house and seated already

and why does he always meet people there?

need answers

also... seems like he's only traveled to a small handful of places the entire season --- home, the restaurant, the basketball court, krista's, ray's....

Exactly.

He hasn't been in any real world settings at all the whole season when before he was everywhere.

All of a sudden he just goes "home", Rays office, the Diner with Joey and Krista's?

The signs are all there, I don't even think it would be a big reveal in the way that Mr.Robot was because we're getting an answer halfway through the season.

this episode in particular was great because they stopped with the Mr Robot battling for a little.
When he starts yelling and arguing with Elliott, I feel like that's all we've seen for 1.5 seasons in a weird dejavu way.

Please lower your voice Mr. Robot.

I wish he could take his meds without christian slater making him puke them up.

So true what you guys said. He is in some kind of an institution, Ray works there maybe as a therapist, counselor, or a manager. I don't think he is an orderly. His meals with "Leon" are in the cafeteria, that church group he attends is group therapy which explains why Ray was able to return it to him. Ray showing up on the bball court, is most likely their recreational time, that pyro chick is a patient there also.

Lastly, Ray having access to Elliott and going up in his room like that makes me think he definitely is in some type of institution and those thugs were probably just men who worked there also.

I dont understand maybe I'm wrong or just confused. If you guys think he's in an institution, is whats going on with the 5/9 hack (for real) or in his head? i.e Gideon, White Rose, Dom, Angela etc. Or are you saying theese things are simultaneously going on while he's in the institution. I agree he's in some sort of dream, or hallucinating too many things are very bizarre (like some crazy dream) i.e the pyro, Leon, the dang bandage on his head for no real reason, swollowing concrete etc. Also is Ray just as crazy talking to a machine? Is he really even running some kind of silk road?

The hack and all the other characters are very real, hence why they come to see him wherever he is and they all have comments about why he "put" himself there.

Especially Darlene, their interactions are the most telling because as we saw, she's had her own mental health issues which is why she gets sensitive when anybody asks her about Elliot.

Leon I'm not sure is actually real, he only appears with Elliot and the only interaction he's had on screen with another character is the basketball player/Ray and then he mysteriously disappeared. Even when he brings the chess board around Leon, Elliot is like "this is not for you" almost in a way like "it's for my other projection".

Ray isn't talking to his dialysis machine, he's talking to his dead wife that passed in a car accident a couple months ago. He talked about that with Elliot to get him to open up. He's definitely a real person and runs wherever it is that Elliot is at.

I don't think Elliot is in a dream at all. Yea sometimes he still hallucinates but he's seeing the place that he's staying in a way that allows him to cope with it. That's why it looks almost like a stepford neighborhood.

Hence it being his "mom's" house. Also why the **** would his sister come to his moms crib and not be acknowledged at all? Especially when in the flashback when she first comes back to NYC, she said that she kept in touch with their mom and Elliot didn't.

dAWG, I didn't even ,make the connection with darlene and the mom. Wow that was so obvious.

If we're seeing things from Elliot's pov, could be that he isn't seeing or acknowledging other interactions.

Add to that, Krista, his therapist, is probably coming to see him where he is, and he is just seeing her office when they talk.

You have some good points, I'm more open to the institution idea now, I still think its a little to obvious for this type of show, you're probably right though. One thing that keeps bothering me is why is Joanna protecting him if he's in an institution? Dark army?

I dunno. I'd have to re-watch Season 1. Who knows how many personalities Elliot has running around in his head.

He only has 1 personality which is Mr. Robot. While he's hallucinating sometimes any other characters are just part of that particular hallucination.

Son look at the USA logo, the non HD borders on the screen.

This theme song :rollin Ol family matters meets full house hallucination

Angela intro being her at her mom's funeral.

This is the most Elliot's mom has spoken all season.

Tyrell in the trunk :lol

******* Alf!!! :rollin
