that **** had my whole theater dying, that girl was the creepiest one to me wasn't she the one skipping around the whole time

Movie was ok, nice little thriller, not worth full price, I wouldn't have been mad catching a matinee though. It's a cool concept, but the suggestion earlier in this thread about making it focus on 4 diff classes of people and their experiences w/ the Purge instead of one family would've been a wayyyyy better film

there's a scene before the purge commences where their neighbor is jelly of all the bread theyre making. so basically the neighbors come rescue them and off the masked bad guys; the family's thinking they just got rescued, but the neighbors rescued them so they can purge of their jealousy. then black N that the family saves, ends up saving them. movie over.

i want a different version of The Purge where its from the perspective of the black dude and how he escaped from the masked people. It could show him escaping through the city, while having to deal with different people trying to kill him. Give him a legit backstory and that would equal a better movie than what we got.

The arguement on the TV is the best part, when the guys goes : "the purge is only a way to get rid of the poors and the ones that society doesn't want".

This movie was horrible. They had a chance to make something great with its concept, but it seems like that's where the ideas stopped. What kind of advanced security system gets run through so easily? I understand its the suburbs, and relatively safe in that area, but we're talking about a one night excuse to be just about as savage as you want; and with that kind of money, I'm not "protecting" my family with an iron curtain alone. At the very least there should have been a panic room within the house.


Furthermore, the kids were making me sick with all this damn running around, as if there wasn't some random man in the house, on purge night. I wanted to slap the mother for saying she couldn't get the daughter to go inside the camera room when she was upset -_-. Bisch, get yo *** in the room.

Movie was a waste of my $5. I had low expectations but it was worse. Thought the plot was interesting so checked it out. Poorly executed. This movie had so many bad scenes and terrible acting.

Damn, I purposely stayed out this thread because I was SO intrigued about this movie via the trailer. I finally got to go and see it.........I didn't think it was garbage, but like others have stated the delivery was piss poor. It needed MORE back story! I personally wanted more back story on HOW the country got "reborn"! What happened to the government? What about the homeless black guy, what's his story? It just lacked in certain areas, I'm hoping the sequel answers these questions.

The whole plot went south as soon as the kid let dude in. Im like, you do know its purge night right? That part made NO sense thus the rest of the movie made no sense.
