Is Boston really as racist as people make it tho?

unfortunately they do, hence why its still got the highest real estate prices

that's strictly proximity to silicone valley cats making bookoo bucks and da idiots in local government basically making it impossible to make new housing with excessive regulations to land and building.

It's probably no more/less racist than any other city in the northeast TBH. It has places you probably wouldn't want to go, just like NY or LA. I lived in Dorchester where it was like 80% black. My mileage would vary differently than someone who lived in Charlestown where it's the opposite.

That being said, it's not really popping. Bad females, yes. But the city is mostly known for schools, hospitals, tech jobs, etc. It's more family oriented. Shuts down earlier than most cities. So I wouldn't come here if you're expecting it to be like NY night life.

Brazilians is heavy in Newark, New Jersey (Ironbound)

mad restaurants...i gotta make it a point to go out there this summer.
Shhhh. Stop putting people on. Caught me a couple Portuguese and Brazilian girls there. Hella laid back too

It's not just being close to the valley, do you know how many tech companies are in SF and not SV. And of course industry/economics is like that for every high priced major metro, its like saying Banking for NYC and London or Media and Aerospace for LA etc.

Bangkok : if i stay more than 2 days in that city i go crazy. The rest of the country is truly amazing though

Toronto : stayed downtown for a weekend during winter. Didn’t enjoy the city at all. I’m sure in the summer and if you go around downtown, it’s much better.

That’s just from my personal experience. I would put Vegas in there too as others have mentioned

So you went by yourself and didn’t go to any clubs? Oh ok.

who said i went by myself, who said i didn't go to the club/bars/etc ... you're extremely glib, why you so worried about someone who doesn't like that terrible, overrated city anyway, you the mayor or something?

Because you’re in the minority here. We trying to figure out what went wrong.

Uh, you did.

You claimed you walked around the strip and went back to your hotel room,

Get your story straight.

who are you that i need to lie to *****, again i said what i said... vegas is overrated... why ya'll trying so hard to sway people's opinions, lol?

Miami and Nashville are the most overrated cities ever. Minneapolis is a gem though. I love that city so much

One of the best cities in the country honestly, minus the weather. Which unfortunately imo is trash 8 months out of the year.

-Top 5 city for Restaurants
-Great Parks, fishing, hiking etc...
-Great Arts, Museums, Music scene etc...

if it wasn’t for the weather I’d never leave.

The phrase “Vegas is overrated” baffles me.
I was speaking more so anything passed 3 days is blasphemy...now within those 3 Vegas is a blur and amazing(well the strip is) i’ve also ventured outside the strip a couple of times and it was meh. But like somebody said every city can be overrated to somebody.

I have been there a few times for work, thankfully my expenses were paid for. Everything from food to entertainment is outrageously expensive. It's humid as **** too. I'll take Vegas over Dubai any day of the week
i think it just depends in which area you stay. there are cheaper places to eat that I actually enjoy instead of the whole tourist experience. There are some cool neighborhoods where you see more locals and get a feel of the everyday lifestyle. the weather is definitely a big factor and going to the beach does not help. best time to go is fall/winter where you can enjoy it outside.
