Most Disappointing Video Game of 2011?

2k12 is fun only on teamup. Everything on teamup is cool.

They need the crews back, they need to bring the hall of fame lobbies backkk ASAP......

and they need to fix up the zone. when your in zone it shows the maps.. like whats the fn point of that?... also you cant really run plays in 2k12.... 2k11 play setup was way better... also the way to sub out players on 2k11 was much easier as well....

I need the hall of fame lobbies...... if u wanna play a 1 on 1 game you have to play it ranked and on all star mode... i never played rank. only hall of fame lobbies where games dont count. you dont have to play cheesers etc.

MvC3 was disappointing as it doesn't hold a candle to 2 but a roomful of goons+beer+

+that game is great fun. Didn't &^%* w/ the online at all, though

Heard Dead Island was a letdown but I might pick it up for the low because I love zombie games

Have you read about the Indoctrination Theory?
Spoiler [+]
Yea it's pretty damn interesting and it would make a lot of sense with some of the flaws that the ending had and the way Shepard was exhibiting some of the symptoms of indoctrination like his recurring dreams and those noises Vega kept hearing. If it is true then that'd be a pretty punk move for Bioware to pull to get you to buy DLC for the "True" ending. If Shepard really was indoctrinated then all of that should've been in the ending either showing you that he's indoctrinated or him breaking free from it instead of them pulling an Inception.

The upcoming DLC is free.

To speak for us who hated the ending: At first I didnt hate the ending. But the next couple of days as I had time to think about it and the plot holes, the ambiguity, the pointlessness of the whole thing... I hated it more and more.

To address your point about choices and the end, the ending didn't have to encompass all the decisions people made through the series, but it had to at least have had SOME impact on the ending. Absolutely NONE of the choices made at any point of the games had any effect on the ending. You had 2 choices (maybe 3), that essentially all do the same thing. You're left with the entire galaxy's military power trapped on Earth, which is decimated. Except the 3 or 4 people on the Normandy that somehow outran gigantic beams of energy traveling millions of miles per second. The whole ending was pointless, plain and simple.

I hope the indoctrination theory is true, or that something similar was happening, and that Bioware is tying that into the upcoming ending. I wholeheartedly agree that Bioware should have hinted at something a little more concrete if they take the indoctrination theory. Shepard taking 1/4 of a breath in rubble (if you even got that ending; I didnt, had to see it on a Youtube video) may have been a hint, but it's too difficult to tell. Hopefully we wont be left with such a useless end to an otherwise masterpiece of a series.

Oh great news then

If the Indoctrination theory really is true then I applaud Bioware for having the balls to have an ending like nothing we've ever seen. If they explain all of it in the DLC then I think all will be forgiven. All the backlash would've been avoided if they showed us that Shepard was indoctrinated all along instead of ending it the way they did. If the theory is true then how would they explain the little scene after the credits were a Grandfather is telling his grandson the story of the Shepard if it's all happening in Shepards head?

NCAA 2012, EA kills me by releasing the same damn game every year...and making subtle changes to the grass and the crowd....I don't care about that Sh*t.....I just want decent gameplay and realistic motions like the PS2 and Xbox days....sad thing is I'll probably cop again thinking all of the changes I want them to make will be made....smh

My list of disappointments for 2011
1) NBA 2k12
2) Gears 3 (not necessarily a bad game, it just became boring fast)
3) Saints Row 3

MK9 is better than AE??

You prefer a game with no setups, no mix ups, no crossups, no timing, no spacing, no mind games..?  Just random b*ll**** and dial-a-combo?

.   I hope your trolling

Proves that you know nothing about MK9 brother.

MW3- Lag. Kids with quick scoping youtube abilities. And the release to the BS map packs. Shotguns kill from miles away. The list keeps going...
NBA2K12 - LAG. Cheese with players such as lebron, kobe, durant. Everybody online plays with the same teams, MIA. LAL. and OKC.... And the online league servers are extra poor.
Dead Island - Trailers looked awesome. A lot of hype from coworkers of mine...Game was sorry. Played maybe 2 hours and sold it.

I knows there's more not in my head at the moment.

Naaahhh.. Skyrim was the game to get last year. Also BF3 was great.
didnt play BF3 so ill reserve my judgment
but i am still disappointed in skyrim, felt like it was designed for consoles and not PCs. Not a fan of console FPS. Oblivion was better.

honestly i just want to play a really good rpg

I enjoyed BF3's single player, but the multiplayer wasn't for me.
MW3, same thing, but I do play the MP a bit.

LA Noire is one of the worst games I ever played

It's not a bad game, but it has the worst use of elements within the game that I've ever witnessed. It tries to be an open world game like GTA and Red Dead Redemption, but at the same doesn't allow ANY of the free roam stuff that makes those games as good as they are. The story/mission part was okay, but that was the problem with the game - there isn't anything else but the story mode.

Mw3... Sold my special edition joint a few weeks ago. That game just became completely unplayable as time went on.

Oh yeah, and this.  graphics were nice and so was the voice acting/dialogue, but the gameplay was boring and repetitive as hell.
This. The world feels empty and gameplay was really repetitive
I didnt play the first one but I fell into the hype and bought this. NT hype the hell out of it and I fell for the tarp...SMH I am only like 16% done and got bored of the gameplay. As for 2k12 and 2k11, I told myself not to cop because 2k is whack... Rather play live or elite...

coming from a competitive MK9 player, your initial statement isn't completely unfounded.
the lack of a real meta game, footsies, and some simply broken characters left the game unfinished.

however, through a combination of hot-fixes, patches, and continued investigation by the Mortal Kombat community has helped to turn this once mediocre product into a premiere competitive fighting game.
