Man...I was searching for a good minute on Saturday for these photos. Did they look decent?
Some concept images have leaked and apparently ElMayimbe had the scoop but Saban made him delete the images...
The concepts are not bad...
Lionsgate executives shared plans for the company’s upcoming film slate with the press on Friday morning, including an update on the upcoming Power Rangers reboot movie.
The company says that, despite pushing the film’s released date back from July to January, they have confidence in the project.
“We’re very excited and with Dean’s [Israelite] vision; we felt very comfortable looking for opportunistic dating,” Lionsgate Motion Pictures Group Co-Chairman Rob Friedman explained on the conference call. “We really believe that great movies deliver no matter what date they’re on.”
The executives went on to say that the company sees Power Rangers as a “significant series of movies.”
Power Rangers is scheduled for release on January 13, 2017.
Yo, if that is how the opening of the film begins, I am down with that. Happy with the villain choice too. Bring in Zedd later.
man I just really hope this is a good movie.
BOOM! Studios, in a new partnership with Saban Brands, has acquired the comic book license to Saban's prized Power Rangers brand. They will now produce all-new comic books starring the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and will start off the process by introducing a set of exclusive, one-page MMPR comics at San Diego Comic-Con next weekend.
Even though, the Power Rangers franchise is currently on its 22nd season and also has a Lionsgate-produced movie on the way, the new comic series will focus exclusively on the Mighty Morphin era and is being designed to appeal to fans of the original 1993 series, which was by far the most popular of all the different Ranger iterations.
