Creator of that fan film is being harrassed by Saban.

“Saban is trying to shut ‘Power/Rangers’ down,” Kahn tweeted on Tuesday. “If you’d like to keep watching, tell them to stop harassing me.”

Kahn maintains in later posts that his work is technically protected under fair use. “Every image in ‘Power/Rangers” is original footage,” he wrote. “Nothing was pre-existing. There is no copyrighted footage in the short. I am not making any money on it and I refuse to accept any from anyone. It was not even kickstarted, I paid for it myself. This was made to be given away for free. It is just as if I drew a pic of Power Rangers on a napkin and I gave it to my friend.”

Interesting take on the franchise, but the Power Rangers really doesn't deserve this type of treatment. The main appeal of MMPR is the fact these are young teenagers who are essentially chosen to be superheroes. This really misses the boat on that and the spirit of the show is lost.

Still, a nice "elseworld" type of story though. And I must admit, seeing Katee Sackoff as Kimberly was great.

I enjoyed it. Why can't this be done with DBZ mane? I know they put out the history of trunks recently and that was good, but this joint is great for a fan movie.

That was good. Only complaint is I could've done without the more explicit cursing. That made me cringe trying to reconcile this was PR.

Everything else was great about it. No surprise Saban being a ***** about it. Not to mention he's flat out wrong trying to get lawyers to erase this off the internet. I mean even Marvel/Disney wasn't a ***** about this when the Jane/Punisher short was released. It's free promo and press (if it gets big enough) for your ip man.


Who was Van Der Beek suppose to be though? Kept calling him a traitor I was trying to figure out who he was off bad memory. Was he blue ranger Billy all grown up?

Thing that got me with some of the other notable is they couldn't use their actual faces o reference them so you had to be paying attention to everything said when they started going down memory lane.
