Can't remember if it was the 7th or 8th round but once Connor fell back on the ropes for a split second it was like blood in a sharks tank

It is clear who has watched Conor fight and who hasn't ... To think that May was throwing anything harder than a Diaz 4 oz. punch or that Conor cant come back from that fatigue phase just shows your ignorance ... Conor might have been dropped in round 10 but there is 0 doubt in my mind that he would have lasted 12 after that ... He goes into zombie mode and takes heavy shots in his longer fights but aside from the Diaz choke, usually lasts ... You have to remember that MMA doesn't stop fights when people are standing ... Conor is getting tagged but none of those shots came close to hurting him ... He was simply gassed ...
This ain't Nate Diaz. This is probably the best boxer ever. Floyd woulda knocked that fool head off. This ain't no Rocky movie. Conor was getting more and more tired while Floyd just starting to go to work. Conor couldn't hang after rd 8 and he had no defense at all.

This belt can't be real right? Like the WBC wouldn't sign off on this?

In the atmosphere of absurdity that this fight lived in, the fight should've gone on until mcgregor hit the floor. It's a clown show people. It shouldn't be beholden to the traditional standards of a boxing match.

Just my two cents.

Lol the less esteem you hold these boxing organizations in, the better. They're just a bunch of greedy crooks.

money may could have destroyed connor in the first round and ended quickly but i guess he thought making it go longer would make the people satisfied

it kinda did for the gumps who believed in connor

it was like a fan jumping the rails and trying to fight a boxer. connor was terrible.

Its really funny reading people's opinion online. Im happy that i watched the fight myself. Im a boxing fan straight up and down since i was young. McGregor succeeded the expectations of many. Remember hes a MMA fighter, not a Boxer. I thought Floyd would knock him out in the 4th or 5th round.

What blew my mind is that Mayweather looked like he was in trouble around the 5th or 6th round. I forgot which round it was. But McGregor had Mayweather on the ropes at the beginning of one those rounds. Mayweather took a break and McGregor was getting some good shots in. McGregor was either even or winning in rounds around the 4-6 round point.

People where looking nervous around rounds 4-6. Because McGregor was definitely fighting better than what most people thought. I thought he was going to pull off the upset there for a minute. In my opinion Floyd didnt look to good like he use to. He basically won because McGregor got gassed and tired out in ther rounds 8-10.

If McGregor had more experience and stamina. I dont know if Floyd pulls lastnight W off. Its funny reading people's comments on here.If you didn't watch the fight. And went off peoples comments on here. You would think McGregor was getting his head rocked and that he was beaten into submission. He simply got tired. And he was still dodging hits. Im a Floyd fan. But the fight was better than what i expected.

Ill give the White boy his props. To not be a Boxer. And give the Goat a good fight with alot of contact was good to watch. Mayweather didn't dance and run for points only. Everybody i watched the fight with was satisfied and impressed. McGregor stock defenately goes up after this. Thats business 101. He has to see atleast 1-3 M,s per fight minimum. If not then he shouldn't be fighting. Hes the face of UFC now.

Theres people who arent UFC fans. Who are going to be watching him after this. Thats extra revenue from him fighting Mayweather. It doesn't matter how he started out. His name is big now. They have no chkice but to up bis pay. Hes literally the face of the sport. Anything less is bustling backwords. Thats like telling a underground Rapper to get paid what he use to after getting his first or 2nd hit song. Who would do that?

when i was at buffalo wild wings yesterday there was this 1 guy cheering hard AF at the bar... like he was pounding his fist on the bar shouting so they were telling him to calm down or get kicked out... he got quiet though in the later rounds

What happened to Conors power punches? I thought he was gonna break through Mayweathers defense and knock him out. :lol

Conor had his chances too in the 1st couple of rounds before he ran out of gas. Mayweather went straight in to McGregor without throwing punches in the earlier rounds. :lol

I think it was the end of the 8th. Still can't believe he gassed out that far in the fight

Conner didn't get gassed until the 7th or 8th round. I dont know what fight yall wbere watching. Fan boys be funny online. Like i said. Im happy that i watched the fight myself instead of going off of biased opinions online. It was a competitive fight. Not the usual points only attacking Mayweather usually does. Floyd needs to retire though. Because hes definitely lost a step or 2. He needs to retire on top.

just stop

thank your new lord and savior money mayweather for sparing connors life

Still got GSP and Diaz Bros as draws
Ronda-Jones-McGregor is what the new owners expected to be the pillers of the promotion when they purchased the company.

Ronda got exposed, and Jones is a dumbazzz. Conor is their ONLY cash cow at this point.

GSP hasn't fought in years and is a lot older so who knows how he'll pan out in his return. Nick hasn't fought in years either and Nate was a gate keeper and struck gold with this rivalry with Conor. Diaz brothers are fan favorites but can't attract the causuals that drive up the PPV numbers

It wasn't competitive.
Conor started getting gassed after the 3rd round. He was breathing deeeeeeep.

bet dana white paid the ref to stop that fight with the quickness so connor wouldnt have the chance to be put in a coma

this kinda reminded me of the great white hype movie

anybody put money on mcgregor?

Nah he still had his ups in 4th & 5th.... imo it wasn't until like the 7th when he was really really fatigued.... which is equivalent to UFC rounds.

I really liked Mystic's shuffle stance-punch combo :lol and I thought his uppercut would've been more effective. It was only good for the first couple rounds.

When I started reading all these Doctor's report about it being dangerous for Conor's health, I knew a TKO was the first priority.

Yeah most shocking thing was Conor power! He has NONE! Floyd was the smaller guy literally walking him down. All that, I'm going to knock him out in 10 seconds, going to break his guard, I make heads bounce off canvas etc..... literally NO POWER!

P.S- TBE +/- ALWAYS on another level man.

Floyd def lost a step no doubt.

But y'all crazy if y'all think it would've went 12 if it had not been stopped. That boy was out on his feet the entire 10th round. He would've hit the canvas. McGregor fans and these moral victories are hilarious

Mayweather is wayyyy past his prime. If Mayweather was in his prime for this match... Conor wouldn't last 6 rounds.

I think people are missing the point ...

Anyone who honesty thought Conor was going to win is an absolute moron ... At BEST, Conor tags May something serious and May BOXES the rest of the fight and out-points him ... Just so happens that Conor couldn't get consistent power shots on-point and ran out of gas punching air ...

No one over here thought this spectacle had a chance to go Conor's way ... I have trained in both disciplines and let's just say there's a reason why boxers aren't to be messed with by normal people ... Take it a step further to Floyd's level, a 20 year vet and one of the greatest ever, you don't stand a chance if you aren't a dedicated boxer ...

Conor was unimpressive to me ... He fought a terrible fight technically and showed little discipline or growth from the 1st Diaz tutorial ... In short, Conor succumbed to the moment in Diaz #1 and did the same last night ... He shot his load in the first 10 minutes and it was over ... If he had another shot at Floyd he would do exactly what he did in Diaz #2, pace himself and preserve the tank ... But he doesn't have another shot because this was theatre ...

All that being said, let's stop with the Floyd would have deaded Conor talk ... The ref is a boxing ref who isn't used to the abuse MMA fighters endure ... If you have ever taken shots from a boxing glove and MMA glove, you know the deal ... Go watch Diaz #2 and be honest with yourself about the stoppage last night ... Could Conor have been knocked down? Yes ... Could Conor have recovered? Yes ... Did Conor get saved? Maybe, but the point is it should have been allowed to continue ...

I'll leave you with this for what it is worth ... Mayweather walked into a Vegas casino prior to the fight and tried to put $400k down on the fight ending in less than 9.5 rounds ... They denied the bet but the fight ends in just less than 9.5 rounds ... Whether it was May toying with him for 9 rounds or a miscommunication between the powers that be, you can't convince me that this bout wasn't pre-determined ... It was a show on the strip, nothing more ...

And by the way, the undercards were terrible and boxing has no stars left ...
