5 Hurt as Gunman Opens Fire at Football Game in Dallas
Police say five people were shot when a man drove a moped onto a football field in Dallas and opened fire on spectators as a game was being played.
Police Sgt. Warren Mitchell said in a statement Monday that several people in the crowd returned fire at the unidentified man Sunday evening.
Mitchell said two women are in critical condition and another woman and two men are in stable condition.
It's not clear if the suspect is among the injured. Police have released no information on his motive.No suspects have been arrested so far, though CBS DFW reports that two suspects are wanted. No descriptions of the two suspects were immediately available.

or like the teacher from stoneman douglas who left his gun on a bathroom counter in a gas station because he forgot... just 2 weeks after their incident. imagine a teachers gun left on the table in class on accident. or it falls out of their purse or bag or something like this drunk FBI officer doing backflips. this is just overall a TERRIBLE idea

PA school giving kids bulletproof backpacks
One Catholic school in Chadd’s Ford, Pa., in the spirit of preparing and protecting their graduating students, went a more macabre route: gifting eighth-graders with bulletproof inserts to help keep them safe in the event of a school shooter.
According to NBC News, the removable ballistic shields given to Saint Cornelius Catholic School students could turn their backpacks into bulletproof vests.
The vests are a result of a request Saint Cornelius Principal Barbara Rosini made to Unequal Technologies, a company that specializes in ballistic armor. Unequal Technologies CEO Robert Vito donated the bulletproof shields to the graduating class, along with 25 additional plates which were given to school faculty. As Fox 29 reports, Vito’s daughter attends St. Cornelius.

No it sounds like the bag has an insert that either pulls out or you can put the bag on backwards to protect your chest. Either way, it's a band aid solution.
