I'm on the record as saying this team probably wouldn't be good enough to have an MVP...and here we are.
Going to be interested to see what (if any) changes take place this offseason and they need to start with the coaching staff before the players. Cable has been a disaster for years, Bevell's inconsistent game plans are just maddening, and Kris Richard has been a big disappointment after Bradley/Quinn.
I love Pete's loyalty and commitment to doing the right thing by his staff/players but it seems like loyalty is taking precedence over accountability right now. I'm missing the coach who was so obsessed with competition that he started Russell Wilson over Matt Flynn, started a 5th round rookie CB (Sherman), made more cuts and roster changes than any other team in his first 2 years in the league.
Pittsburgh bridged two eras with one QB by being open to totally shifting their philosophy to get the most out of their assets, and I think that's our path to success as well. First and foremost, trying and failing to be a ball control offense for the first halves of every game is not working and is costing us wins.
