Basketball is pretty much positionless now anyway. You play where you can guard, which is why I think D'Lo would be better served being off ball especially if we can pull Westbrook.

But D'Angelo's best quality is distributing the ball with his playmaking. Why would we neuter that?

His court vision (along with size) is the cherry on top that made him an elite prospect. His shooting is what's supposed to be his "best quality". It's like people forget his ability to play on and off the ball was a huge part of his appeal. He's a combo guard in every sense of the word...he just has floor general abilities.

Dlo is a 2 with other worldly passing abilities. He's still learning how to play the 1. If by some grace of God, Russy signed with the Lakers, they would just be interchangeable

Pretty much he's a combo guard with great passing ability and it'll help on the defensive end as well until he gets stronger. The 2 is a lot easier position to defend athletically.

D'lo a 2??????
I mean I know he can play 2....but his game aint no 2 gaurd
he don't get to the basket enough
He can SHOOT well, but that doesn't make him a 2 guard....a 2 guard is usually your best/most effective wing scorer
Now JC's game is more of a 2, he just has that attack instinct all the time, shoots pretty good...quick first step/off the bounce, finishes good at the rim, gets to the line often, CAN make plays but is usually FINISHING plays
D'lo is a 1 who can get buckets and reads the game at a higher level then alot of guys....
you watch him play, you can see he's already playing 2-3 possessions ahead.....he knows how to recognize and control the swing, crazy at his age too

DeMar DeRozan would prefer to re-sign with the Toronto Raptors in free agency, but he'll have a number of other opportunities available should they be unable to quickly agree upon a contract.
The Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, New York Knicks and Orlando Magic also have interest in DeRozan.
The Raptors can offer DeRozan an extra season and as much as a five-year, $153 million contract.
