Never thought I would say this, but I think i'm burnt out on the WOW 3's. I was offered a few samples, including the white stingwade, which I would have instacopped 3-4 weeks ago, but now i'm not sure if their worth the price. Maybe its due to having 5 pairs already or there being TONS of colorways releasing. Either way I think it might be time to try and find older models/team shoes. I am a huge fan of the 808's.

 
I need those White stingwades, TNS3, and Birthdays for the 3.0's in a size 9. The fact that they don't drop the nicer sample pairs and only drop mediocre colorways has really turned me off to the Way of Wade brand in general. There are so many sample pairs and such, it's a shame that we never get a chance at them unless we want to pay $$$. 

^^^Yeah, there are a lot of samples that show up on IG that are way better than half of the colorways that actually release. Even a very limited release of certain pairs would be nice.

All back to that bad marketing issue, just lack of understanding of the American sneaker collector/consumer.

As I've said numerous times, lots of stuff on IG I'd cop, and next up we are getting the craptastic mesh pack.

I might be done as well.

The worst part is there is a very slim resale market so buying up Wades and then trying to sell them later is next to impossible unless you have some rare pairs. Just not worth spending the money on them anymore. I do appreciate the shoes for what they are but it just seems like you have to be buddies with the boutique guys or know a Chinese factory worker's second cousin who's selling the shoes they steal for them in order to get some pairs of nicer Wades. I don't need to be jumping through hoops to get a shoe I like.

I agree that it's all a bad marketing strategy, however I don't think it's lack of understanding. A lot of samples get shown by guys like Eric Miller who's the CREATIVE DIRECTOR of the WoW brand. Nile Patrick shows some great samples as well. And they are both located here in the US. I met Nile at The Edition back in Jan. He was quite in touch with the current culture as evidenced by our conversation in store. They either think that these awesome samples would not appeal to the mass market, so they settle on less than stellar CW's, or they don't care. I would like to think it's not the latter, but who knows. soleseeker23 what were the white StingWades offered to you for if you don't mind.

I don't disagree with what you are saying. I follow those same IG feeds. But if they are releasing the mesh pack and not the TNS, white sting-wade, the "black sweater" or whatever it was called, etc. etc. then it does show being out of step, or else they can't exert enough influence in China to get the good stuff out there/here. It really could be we are just not the major target audience. Dunno.

Either way, nothing they are doing is appealing to the mass market, since most all CW's are sitting. As we've also discussed.

Combo of the textured 3M of the TNS1.5 and the smooth part of the TNS2.

I rarely want what I can't have. Er, I mean, I am usually fine with the GR stuff. I don't see LeBron's PE's and expect them to release, because generally I think they release enough good CW's. The WoW 3 thing is just we have seen so many BETTER CW's on IG that aren't releasing, then we get the Drip Pack and upcoming mesh pack, which are terrible imo.

Anyway, as I said, I'm cool - I have enough 3.0's really, just woulda liked a few of those IG pairs to have dropped.

As referenced by the above post by turnon, I emailed regarding the White sting wades...$350 for a "pre order" and some of those coloways we have seen on IG are available through him. I'm going to pass, only because I just can't justify that price, sample or not. Also seeing as how I was able to wait out the Royal Flushes and was able to scoop for $200.

And as andersonjames said, this isn't really "want what we can't have"...just that BETTER cw's are being shown to us. But then we get the Drip pack, and Mesh pack...but NEITHER of those have been getting nearly the same amount of exposure as the sample stuff. Seems a bit backwards IMO.

At least with Bron's we get to see PLENTY of the GR's releases and some PE's sprinkled throughout, but LeBron is generally the only one hyping PE's...here the Wade's are pushed by they guys who run the brand...WTF

I actually agree with you guys that some of the sample stuff is better than the release but some of it is because they can't be had so they look/seem better to the casuals.

It all makes sense, if I was the sig athlete or high up in the company I'd personally want stuff that wasn't easy for the regular person to come across. Perks of the job...

But like you guys have said in the past they have to release colorways that will appeal to the masses. They could do a better job on giving us what we want but I'm not going to harp on it.
