I for one am not dissatisfied with JR's shot selection. It could be better but let's be for real we didn't bring him here to be a spot up shooter, we brought him here to be a spark off the bench. To be a guy who can hit the contested shot when our offense is sputtering. You need guys like him who are unafraid to take the shot and who can get red hot to the point where it doesn't matter if its contested or not. You gotta take the good with the bad. So in this case I'll take a few poor contested shots if it comes with games where he hits 6 or 7 big shots. If he were a starter it'd be a different question but off the bench its fine.

If we plan on making moves this year we have to win the east and get that 4th seed

how about we win a playoff game before people start talking about us coming out of the ECF?

I'm not trolling, but I'm curious as to what keeps Knick fans going? 'Melo is talented, I grant you that, but what has he done in his NBA career to make you think  he can win it with Amar'e? Same goes for Amar'e as well. Carmelo is a baby when he doesn't get his way, he proved that last season and it's reared it's head this season. That being said, I think the Knicks will get bumped if they make the playoffs.

Cliffs for lazy readers:

-Woodson is a boring coach, he needs to go (Hawks got NOWHERE with him)
-'Melo and Amar'e combo WILL NOT work
-I knew D'antoni would eventually be fired due to personnel being bad
-'Melo deserves to be traded, but somehow I think Amar'e will be moved first, if he can't be moved, they both play out their contracts in NY and the furthest they go is to the 2nd round.

I'm not here to troll. Hell, I was a Knick fan, I just couldn't take it anymore (8 points, 16 seconds, "The Finger Roll", The Bulls, Charles "can't make a layup" Smith, Game 7 in '94

^^ When Jordan was scoring 30 a game in the late 80s early 90s, what had he done in his career to that point to make you think he could win a championship? A lot of people never thought he would win. When they got Pippen, everyone thought they were still a big man short of winning. So what made people believe they could win?

Just saying...

I get what you're saying but for all the ppl trying to ask "what makes you think you can win" and whatever...I mean if you choose to look at it that way, there's really no good answer. Obviously these two guys (Melo and STAT) have flaws in their games and any bball fan can see this, but who doesn't? All we can ask for is for them to give the effort we've seen in the last 5 games, and whatever happens is gonna happen.

I wouldn't call Amar'e his old self exactly.  His lift is still not what it was last year.  That throw in dunk he did over Brand would have been a flush last year and would not work against a bigger guy than Elton.
Amar'e just scares me a lot.  Dude really needs to develop a KG like mid-range and spend the summer developing some post moves.  He can say "expolosive" is his game but that %**$ don't last.  Post moves work forever and that dude don't have a single one.  I'm tired of seeing him make a move to the basketb and get stripped.  Sone needs to develop a hook, fadeaway, something of that sort desperately.

Completely OT but heard today from a friend that Shump used to (maybe occasionally still does, ie. last summer) smash Woodson's daughter. She played volleyball with Doc River's daughter at Florida than transferred to GTech, where she met Shump. No idea what she looks like either.

Yea, I said this during the game. Hes definitely not all the way back to what he was last year. But he is leaps and bounds better than he was at the start of the season. Hell even more than he was a couple weeks ago. But im starting to think the team was seriously trolling those weeks leading up to the firing. Like it started as a joke. But Im dead serious now.
