Just saying Monroe is only 25 and his contract wont be terrible when the cap goes up.

Well we are rebuilding and he is 30.  My guess is he doesn't want to wait a couple years to make the playoffs when his is 32.  I guarantee if we weren't a 20 win last year and probably not going to be much better next year we wouldn't be having this problem right now.  Players care more about winning then they do where they are playing.  Plus he will make like 10% more in income because of state taxes.

This. I'd like to add these dudes late or in the middle of primes ain't got time to wait on some unproven pieces to prove themselves while they'we ready to win now. Same scenario with Durant next summer, no matter how cheap of cost the players are, you actually got to have something tangible to show. Jeanie's breasts aren't closing the deal anymore.

So what is our absolute worst case scenario here?

Marc Gasol - Gone
LMA - Gone
Deandre - Looks to being going to the Mavs
Monroe?

Are we going to bring back Ed Davis and have Sacre up at the 5?

I feel bamboozled! This guy Mitch drafted Russell with the impression they had a Center ready, probably was talking about Ed Davis.

What a ****** way to start work...

This is why me and E were saying it was such a stupid line of thinking to draft D'LO having that train of thought.

Don't see how lma a good fit. But you same dudes wanted melo
. Young talent we have ,let them grow. We already have a pf with upside. We needed a center and a SF. Lma is not either of those.

Bron melo lma....these guys all had their mind made up to go "home". Free agency was just a formality for them

Hopefully Harden and Westbrook wanna come "home"

He plays the 4 & 5. So Randle would still get a bunch of minutes.

And Aldridge is the kind of player the Lakers want Randle to develop into. A 4 who stretches the court to about 18 feet. Would have been valuable to learn from.

Also Aldridge would have been a great tool of recruitment in 2016.

Could have had our franchise C already but I'm sleep. Ownership is getting burned at the stake for this debacle.

I was in the Okafor camp myself, I thought we could lure Westbrook eventually, and team him up with this young core.

When we drafted Russel and read we didn't do this unless we had someone lined up I was like okay that's fine.

Now one by one these centers falling off the board.

This going home thing is ridiculous, all the LA Players need to come home, give me Harden and Russy now!

I watched a good number of Pistons games last season. Monroe isn't terrible but he's not impressive whatsoever. He's a guy a team like the kings or Raptors would be glad to sign. Not a championship player. I didn't see as much of him but I feel the same about harris. Kevin Martin vibes from that dude

what does Monroe do legitimately well?
He is an above average rebounder, has good post moves, and finished well around the basket.  Most of all he is leaving the Pistons because he WANTS to play center.  LMA does not.

I won't soon get over this. Mitch must go. The Buss kids too. Time to Sell. LIterally just had to do one thing, just 1. Get LMA to sign. By any means necessary. Only thing left they can do is kidnap his seed.

f it.

You draft him because he has the bigger upside. Okafor had slow feet and can't defend worth a lick. What good would a big do if he can't even defend the rim.
