Hmmm, I could get down with this.pmatic
What if we are reading this wrong? We assume LMA to us, but what if that isn’t it at all? What if we are the ones that are helping LMA go to the Spurs, by taking Danny Green, and Splitter? We take the defensive Center to protect Randle, and the wing 3&D in Green, adding more depth to the roster, over star power. LMA “could” play the 5 next to Randle just fine, but he’s always hated that in Portland. Now he’s going to take less money to play in LA, and play Center full time???? Maybe Mitch knows he can’t get him, but he can help pick parts off the Spurs to help them get him, while building our team up moreso for the future, when the Spurs lose out on Duncan, Manu, Parker, Diaw in a year or so.
Feasible, is it not?
I think I'm going back on my feelings towards Towns. Give me Oak.
I hope Okafor just balls out and makes us forget we had to 'settle'
There is no "settling" by taking Okafor tho. There is a reason why he was the consensus number 1 pick until about a 8 weeks ago. He's no slouch. Dude is going to be a very good player in the league for a long time.
I'll admit that I, too, got caught up in the Towns hype, but the gap between them isn't that significant. I watched every Duke game and never came away thinking that Jah wouldn't be a great pro. I didn't watch many Kentucky games, but there were times where I didn't understand the Towns hype. I understand that has a lot to do with the way Kentucky operates, but swap the two players and Kentucky takes home the national title.
Just got off the phone with my source. If Minny takes Towns at 1, Lakers are taking Russell at 2.
Feel free to go ahead and order those custom jerseys.
Boogie.
But seriously if we get LMA what are you going to do?
i was pro okafor cause i really thought thats who were gonna go with.
i did say okafor was the better player cause of his offensive game.
but we all know what it was gonna be
draft oak, then sign a pg/sf
draft russell, sign a center
im Team Lakers
LMA more than Love
Are you guys cool with Aldridge or Love playing center?
Love aint no damn center he barely a PF he not 6-10 like he claim

That's my point. Even if they can swing Love or Aldridge, you guys are expecting them to play center?

Tobias Harris To Pursue Near Max Deal With Pistons, Celtics Among Leading Suitors
JUN 26, 2015 12:29 PM
As Orlando restricted free agent Tobias Harris will pursue a maximum-level offer sheet on July 1 that the Magic possibly won’t match, the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics have emerged as leading candidates for the talented forward, league sources told RealGM.
Harris, 22, is among the top young players on the available market, and could be the most vulnerable restricted free agent to leave his team. Around the NBA, several teams are believed to be open to preparing a near-max contract for Harris — which could approach $15 million-plus per season, an area the Magic likely elect not to match given the course of extension talks last October and their current team salary structure.
For the Pistons, there is a vision of using Harris as a potential hybrid stretch-wing, capable of playing the small and power forward positions. Several scouts told RealGM that Harris’ slashing and outside shooting will jibe instantly with Stan Van Gundy’s system.
In Orlando, Harris has maintained dialogue with Scott Skiles, his former coach, throughout the year, exchanging encouraging messages. Nevertheless, Orlando's desire to match a maximum-level offer sheet on Harris has been in question.
The two sides couldn’t reach an extension last offseason, Orlando sticking to offers below the $10-to-$11 million that Harris desired — and now promises to surpass. The Magic selected Mario Hezonja, 6-foot-8, with the No. 5 pick in Thursday’s NBA draft. Harris dealt with an ankle injury over a stretch of the season, giving the Magic reason to use him in a lesser role.
The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks have also been long known as interested teams for Harris.
Out of Tennessee in 2011, Harris went to the Milwaukee Bucks with the 19th overall pick in the NBA Draft. He spent two years with the Bucks before being dealt to Orlando in 2013. Over four NBA seasons, Harris has established himself as a tremendous citizen in the community, with a strong work ethic on the court shown in year-to-year leaps.
At 6-foot-8, Harris averaged 17.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 34.8 minutes in 68 games last season. He has made shooting improvements each season, a sign of growth every summer, and shot 36.4 percent from three-point range in 2014-15. Harris has career averages of 12.7 points and 5.5 rebounds.

Or nah?So you wanted Okafor, when Okafor was the pick.. Then you wanted D'Angelo Russell, when news came out it would be Russell.. Then wanted to trade the pick for Boogie..
Draft Express Currently has us taking (they haven't factored in Team Needs yet):
4. D'Angelo Russell
Byron bringing home that #1 pick.
Although I'd much rather prefer #4 and drafting D'Angelo.
That.so experts are saying lakers need to pick up this emmanuel guy from china... saw his highlights and I say NAH.... dude is balling against undersized and weaker chinese guys... I said the same thing about exum... you cannot be impressed about these highlights cus of the competition these foreign guys are against...
if we somehow stay at 4 and these guys are available, give meWinslow orRussell
I was hoping Russell would be a legitimate 6'5".
Still want him tho, regardless.
Nso whats our lineup looks like next season???
just curious??
Clarkson
Russell
Kobe
Julius
LMA
Kind of bittersweet, tho. Really wanted Russell in the purple and gold.
D'Lo Russell today has his Laker draft work out:
These go back to April.^
I need a Russell and Clarkson recreation of that pic.
Why ain't yall looking at Deandre Jordan?
