I used to say the same thing and then I thought what if it was my brother marrying some chick and he had big money. I would tell his $@$ to get one so Ican't say I'd be to surprised if my dude asked me for one.

Not always true, but with that said... if I was making money like that... I'd ask...

What's messed up is when you have females who make more than the guys do in a marriage and for some reason the guy still has to pay the female money.

But in this day in age, I think its necessary. Then again I may be that lonely dude because I won't marry someone who won't sign one.

to solve this problem completely i say you spend more time dating

some dudes be tryn to wife after like 6-9 months.
if yu have to make yur wife sign a pre nump then chances are you dont know her how you should aka (having doubts about her character)

yu should try to date as long as possibly till you know what she will and wont do

will there be some cases where she still might flip on you? yes

but if yu take the time i mean 2- 3 years or however long it take to know yur girl (like the back of yur hand) then yu "SHOULDNT" have too manyproblems...

im not trying to sound naive or anything
and by all means if you're wealthy...not well to do but wealthy (like my lifestlye is gonna change by me being with you)
then by all means get one
but if you making average or slightly above average money...or were both on an even playing field
and you still want me to sign one then we have an issue
you dont see this relationship progressing much after marriage...in fact you believe it will end
so lets save even more money and not even walk down the damn aisle
id rather have an 0-0 record then 0-1

Not all of us hate you...

Exactly!

It's like...none of the married couples I know really have cash like that for it to even be an issue. I mean, they'recomfortable middle class/working class and productive people but I'd laugh if I found out they signed a pre-nup. Realistically, if any of you were gettingmarried right now being where you are in life (assuming I'm talking to a bunch of 20 somethings) like...what? You think I'm gonna take you for yourSopranos DVD collection or something?

Like, how much money should one have before even making this a source of conflict? I don't know about y'allbut I don't know many movie stars or oil barons.

Nah...because you never know what could happen in the future...

AND if I'm working hard, I deserve 100% of the credit and revenue.

This legal system disgusts me sometimes.

Probably not but it would cross my mind
If you you were making Oprah type paper and your husband was an assistant manager at K-Mart, yes you would.

Don't play dumb. Women can spot potential a mile away. Sure he was broke when he was in Lawschool , but ya'll know darn well who has potential to makeit or not.

Nope .

If I trust/love the dude enough to vow to spend the rest of my life with them ... the hell is money ?

When I argue about prenuptial agreements, I hear this the most. Its not the fact that the people who are for it believe it will end. My mainreasoning for wanting a prenup making 5k 50k or 500k a year, is because we are HUMAN and its in human nature to change.. and why leave yourself wide open forbs if you can plan ahead? A prenuptial agreement isn't as much about money as people think.. they are just to make divorces quick and easy. If we agreethat if somethin stupid happens, and we split, we agree to put the house on the market, a reasonable visitation agreement etc etc etc.. to me its a safetynet.. people get so caught up in love that they forget humans make mistakes.
