**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

The regular starting 5 has a +5.7 Rating

The Gabe & Max in for DLo & Bron which is the first sub of the game is -27.3 (5th most run lineup)
Gabe in for DLo is -9.1 rating (4th most run lineup)
Max in for LeBron is -3.6 rating (Tied for 2nd most run lineup)

A lineup that weirdly work and is tied for 2nd most run lineup is DLo/Knecht/Rui/Bron/Hayes +56.9 rating

Individual Gabe is -9.1 . Max is -36.1.

Significant problem Gabe & Max are making.

Just to throw this out there, I do believe that JHS’s injury history is a big factor in declining his option. Yes he hasn’t really been good but at the same time pulling the plug on a second year player stands out as a huge red flag… I don’t think most average kids are ready to play in the league until age 21.

Maybe his back is more jacked up than his game is right now.

The Lakers took JHS at #17 in the 2023 draft.

Forget the fact Pelinka utterly failed at drafting Jacquez at #18. The Warriors landed all energy all hustle big man Trayce Jackson-Davis at #57 and TJD is now a starting big for the Warriors and has put up these numbers after 5 games thus far in 2024

The Lakers 2023 draft grade? F

Fortunately the Lakers make up for it by getting spoon fed Knecht this past summer.

It’s time to get rid of JHS, and maybe Christie too, and go get them a damn starting caliber BIG MAN before they waste any more of AD and Bron’s golden years.

Guards who were on the roster in 2022-23:

DLo
Dennis
Westbrook
Nunn
Pippen Jr

Austin
Beasley
Walker
Christie

Now who knows the details of the type of relationship that Pippen had with any of the coaches but if I had to guess no one really paid him any mind because honestly there wasn’t any reason to even care he was there. Good for him for finding his way in the league but it wasn’t going to happen in LA.
