**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

After tonight's L, the Lakers will be 3-8 in their last 11 games like a bunch of uninspired and unmotivated underachievers.

Valanciunas the 7-ft CENTER absolutely MANHANDLING the PF Anthony Davis in the paint on that offense rebound and put back for the three point play

What's that tell you? This team is TOO SOFT

Wood
Hayes
Vando
Rui

Get rid of all of em. They nothing but fake xxx big men who can't grab a board and protect the paint and box out an opponent to save their lives. Heck they can't even make a gotdam open 17 footer let alone hit an open three.

Get me some real big men who bang and play with a purpose.

AD and Bron are playing at a top 10 player level, but the supporting cast, coach and injuries are not helping. |l

This team needs to get back home and re-group in the worst way.

All it took was for the third best player to start was for D'Lo, Reddish and Rui to sit out with injuries.

Imagine if DeJounte is in the Lakers lineup right now instead of Christie.

Murray
AR
Prince
Bron
AD

Huge difference.

Would be even better if Poeltl or Vucevic in the lineup instead of Prince.

This team is 2-3 players and a head coach away from competing with the elite teams.

Team started 5-1 for the month. 6th seed. 1.5 GB of the 2 Seed.

And has basically dismantled the team since then.

Really quality work.

Bron and AD are still great.

Austin is a solid role player… but if he’s your 3rd best player, then your team isn’t very good.

The rest of these guys aren’t it… there are guys like DLo, Vando, Wood and Prince who were on good teams that got rid of them (telling) or guys like Cam and Rui who were on bad teams and probably contributed to losing. Occasionally they can have productive games but they aren’t the type of players who you can rely on consistently. No coach or scheme is changing that

You already know the roster as currently constructed is not the one that will finish the season.

Time for The Robfather

Lakers who defend every night:

AD
Vando (although not fully healthy for part of season)

Lakers who defend some nights (turnstiles other nights):
Cam
Prince
Lebron
Max
Wood

Laker turnstiles nightly:
Austin
DLo
Rui
Hayes

Trades need to be made for sure

It wouldn’t be hugely different.

Murray is being shopped because his defense has fallen off a cliff. They traded a ransom for him and are looking to move him 18 months later, is the ultimate he’s not very good buyer’s remorse. Especially if they take pennies on the dollar. He’s worse than DLo in defensive impact this year.

They were fine, had a rough couple of games where they were lethargic coming out or took their foot off the pedal and Ham has changed rotations every night since then, and has changed guys roles every night.
That is the difference between 15-10 and 17-17 in the span of 2-1/2 weeks.

Austin being 3rd ain't the problem. The rest of the roster giving you nothing is the problem.

Team just plain sucks. I said it before and was corrected. This team aint got no heart. bron can score 34 or ad 33 last night and still lose
