Nuggets traded Barton and Morris for kcp. That’s the type of deal I’m thinking.

-Replace Beasley Bamba with a real player (via trade).
-have a real backup center.
-see what kind of upgrade you can get for
-Rested lebron and ad.
-Don’t play a team in the wcf that is hitting fadeaway half court shots.

That's risky, trade could not even be available with dude's injury history. Best time to make a move would be the summer.

This would be the best long term option. Give yourself a chance to compete during the season, if a trade pops up it gives you an outside chance to win a chip but sets you up post Bron with AD and the new guy. I just don't expect the Lakers to take this route. If Kyrie wasn't available I think they would but otherwise I think they'd gut the team for Kyrie before running it back

Throw them on / off numbers with and without Dlo up. Lemme see something.

When AD was off Jokic was off. Most of his minutes matched with Murray too. And when AD was on they kept doubling Jokic and leaving shooters wide open

Would need to replace DLo with a PG with almost any trade.
Or have to make it happen with a separate deal.
So if they don’t do it now, it would need to be another mid season overhaul of the roster.


As for if only DLo did this or DLo did that. The Nuggets were better than the Lakers in every way. From Bron to AD to AR to DLo to Rui to Vando to Dennis. They were better.

From top to bottom Nuggets outplayed the Lakers. The statistically best lineup closed game 3 and had a 1 point lead, and didn’t close. That same lineup was -18 in 9 minutes in the 3rd and blew a 15 point halftime lead, and couldn’t close in Game 4.

DLo gets blame. Sure. He’s not absolved from not having a good series. It was ******. But so should every single person. Including Ham for not figuring out how to get him rolling and then expect him to get rolling when he’s standing in the corner because Bron wants the ball.

He sucked against the Nuggets. But it really is missing how much better the Nuggets were. Because everything the Lakers had against the Nuggets was futile.

He wasn’t the 3rd option. Hadn’t been a long time. And wasn’t played as the 3rd option. (AR was the 3rd option)
And if he was the 3rd option. Then that’s even worse for Ham not making it work.

Ratsull put up 13/3/5 on 42/31/76 splits in the playoffs. On-off numbers 0.0 on and +6.6 off. He's always been a mediocre to bad playoff performer, that's why he shouldn't be back above all else.

I know that you feel obligated to defend D'lo for whatever reason. Him shrinking in the playoffs is a pattern that you can't keep blaming on the circumstances. He was the most disappointing player on the team and didn't come close to his potential

Did Anthony Davis's time on the court mirror Jokic's? If so, that could explain a lot of it. Denver's offense usually falls off of a cliff when Joker isn't in the game

Problem is DLo getting paid 3rd most on the team, 30+ mill, and his best game was him scoring 4 points off the bench against Denver

D'Lo saved the season (even though he missed 9 of the 22 games when he got traded) except when we really needed him to not even step up to some crazy level just not be unplayable.

Kyrie sat 6 of the last 15 with his team missing the playoffs because his chakra crystals weren’t charged.

Not once did I say he doesn’t get blame. Everybody deserves it.
