**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Don't much about any of these guys except Trevion Williams. 6'8 center, probably the best passer in the draft.

I have no idea who any of these college players are but I trust the Lakers scouting department.

Someone posted that all of these guys were above-average 3 point shooters, so take that for whatever it's worth

Only follow for lakers draft is mike Garcia @canyondriver He’ll be making the rounds on all lakers podcasts soon.

He was spot on many years over and was talking up Reaves weeks before the draft.

Get Robert Horry as far away from player meetings as possible

He just said “listen, if you can get ad healthy. You still got lebron. If you can then TRICK SOME PLAYERS INTO TAKING LESS MONEY to come to LA…”

I thought the future draft situation went like this:
2023 - Pelicans pick swap
2024 - Pelicans can claim this year or push the option back a year
2025 - Lakers own if Pelicans take 2024 pick or if they
2026 and beyond Lakers own outright

Correct me if I’m wrong, but they’ll still have a first next season and also in either 2024 or 2025. I remember Windy reporting that they don’t own any picks for the next few seasons but that didn’t se accurate from what I recall.

Yes

We only give NOLA one more pick outright. and one swap

We actually had our first rounder in 2020 and this past year and next year (swap with NOLA)

We traded 2020 for shroeder and 2021 for Russ. Lol.

Those coulda been Bane and Bones Hyland.

That’s why when people say we failed on the AD trade, we didn’t (for obvious reason that we won a title) but also bc we still kept kcp, kuzma, Caruso from that trade with chance to add two rookies in 2020 and 2021. And in 2023 we swap but if we have better record than NOLA, it doesn’t make a difference.

It was everything we did AFTER the title that screwed the team. Not the ad trade itself.
