**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I don’t understand the negativity about the game in here.
Once ad had what clearly is likely a season ending injury why the hell would these guys come out firing away. They are deflated.

Another year, another season ending injury from AD. 50% of the games last year and he'll end up playing less than a third of the games this year.

If I were Pelinka, I'd offer Russ plus 2-3 expiring contracts for Sabonis, Levert, and Brogdon ASAP knowing AD is done for the year.

Then if Sabonis balls out, it makes Always Damaged expendable next year. That6when you trade him for Lillard.

Brogdon
Lillard
Levert
Bron
Sabonis

I'm a genius.

All BS aside,

Just a crused year. I doubt AD plays again this year.

Bron old.

Brody Just Brody.

Just ain't working this year.

It's not debatable. Pau played in an era with Duncan, Garnett, Wallace, Stoudemire, Nowitzki, Bosh, and won 2 titles as the 1A to Kobe in back to back to back trips to the NBA Finals. And I know I'm missing more bigs on that list.

AD ain't topping that.
Sorry typo

l meant “uhh this is NOT debatable”

Blow it up

this is the old man league at the Y

There's nothing to blow up. We have no draft capital for the next half decade. We're not trading LeBron (not should we), ADs trade value is at an all-time low and nobody wants Westbrook, especially with him making $47m next season.

This was always the risk when we went all in with the AD trade and this is part of the reason why the pelicans were so adamant about getting draft picks so far to the future. At least we got one championship out of it, most teams who go all in get nothing

Ya I don’t know why people don’t understand this.
When we made the Russ trade, that’s equivalent to going into a casino, putting your life savings on 12 and spinning the roulette wheel. If it lands 11 instead, you can’t ask “hey so how can I get my money back?”

it was a huge gamble

we had kcp and kuzmas medium sized contracts. First round pick. Cap flexibility. Carusos medium sized contract. We bet all that on number 12 at the basketball casino.
