**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

honestly have no clue in what has gotten into Kuzma man
he lost his entire game
i guess his identity crisis with his role of the team is really that bad. so was his good 3pt shooting year a fluke?

or does he really care more about his brand than his craft

Kuzma should've been traded. But more teams wanted Caruso over Kuzma because Kuz has sucked for the last 2 months. He has little value now.

We are stuck with Kuzma, who is now a liability on the floor just like Rondo.

Which is why its imperative for Rob to sign Collison and either Harkless or Marvin.

Heck I'd even take Faried at this point.

At least Manimal brings constant energy and plays some defense

yeah i agree
need to be some sort of roster improvements it's more than adamant at this point

asking for Bron to do a lot right now. think it's at a point where he don't trust much anyone else hence the jacking of 3's hero ball and boneheaded plays

we need him to be in the playoffs and to not destroy his body in the process tho

Kuzma wasn’t traded primarily due to his contract. Any trade required him to be coupled with Green in order to make salaries match. Trading Kuz AND Green likely solves one problem but creates another.

With that being said, the value for us is in the buyout market. Harkless would be a great addition. He can play defense and has shown some ability to shoot the 3. Collison is a major upgrade over Rondo.

I’d be very content with those two moves.

those two moves and a reduction in Rondo's min for DC and more for Caruso (even though he hasn't really been able to score lately) and this team may look entirely different lol

instead of Rondo you'll have DC..

Kuz agent was like yo you need to start hustling grabbing boards. Got two double doubles and followed up with a post trade deadline dud smh

Kuzma wasn't the problem.

Lakers fans, you have nobody to blame for this missed championship aside form the incompetent Lakers managment.

Here is a brief summary of the Lakers-Clippers rivalry:

Jerry West takes a **** on Rob Pelinka at the free agent signing deadline during the offseason.
Rob Pelinka's response is to say "Thank you Sir, may I have another?"
Jerry West happily obliges and proceeds to take another hot, steamy dump on his Rob Lowe lookin-*** at the season trade deadline.

This team cheeks. What happened to the “ size “?? Can t even beat a team without a Center SMH

LeBron was so garbage last night

but again, wing heavy/smaller team: loss for LA

Vogel isn’t creative enough to counter.

Lol at thinking Collison was actually there for possible return. He was there for the free food and the train him and Kuzma was going to run on Jeanie Buss.

Pretty much we need an A+ performance from LeBron every single night on both offense and defense for us to win. Kawhi, Giannis and other stars can afford to play poorly and their teams still win. At this stage in his career, I don't think we can get that effort from LeBron night in and night out during the regular season. To be honest I would rather him save it for the playoffs.

As I've been saying forever, Kuzma is far too inconsistent to be relied upon. There are far too many games (typically against good teams) where he just disappears. He's already getting cooked on defense and then you throw in his bad offense, he's pretty much worthless. But watch, against bad teams like the Warriors he'll go out and get you 20 and people will be like :wow:

Are you drunk? What trade would you have wanted the Lakers to make. I wanted Marcus Morris as well but all of the proposed trades were crazy overpays. I'm not a big kuzma fan but giving up kuzma and Danny Green for 4 months of Marcus Morris is just stupid. Detroit wanted first round picks for Rose so we're already out of that race

The Clippers got Morris for a bunch of stuff they found in their local dumpster.
Pelinka couldn't trade Kuzma for a player of equal, or even lesser value, as long as he was a better fit.

It's almost impossible to trade kuzma 4 equal player because of his contract. Any kuzma trade would involve adding other assets as well. She knows we don't have any draft picks to trade or assets on a roster, it would have been a massive overpay to give up kuzma and green. I know you're trying to make a point but you're being completely illogical about it

People are saying anything after this loss.

Some of you sound like you have no idea how a salary cap works or act like you have no idea that in trades, salary has to match unless a team is under the cap.

Some of this is NBA thread level commenting.

We don't need a A+ performance from Lebron.

But what he did last night to close the game he has done a few times this year and people want to blame everyone else but him.

Harkless is staying. They already said he won't get bought out.
