It's top 10 protected in 2018 and 2019 I believe. So basically, the Hawks should get a pick in the mid 20s to 30 in 2018 unless LeBron tears an ACL.

You might be right, I don't really know the timeline. But my point still stands. Guys really have no leverage at all once they're under contract. I don't see this CBA encouraging movement among stars whatsoever.

Yup, you're correct. I don't see why a team would trade a player with 3-4 years left on a contract.
And the NBA absolutely killed free agency, which sucks because everyone loves NBA free agency.
I suppose blockerbuster trades will happen more often though?
