**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Nope. We beat Suns, pels, kings, heat, magic.....just didn't expect a home blow out
Poor effort
We've also lost to the Suns, Kings, Heat, Pelicans, and Magic as well.

What I don't understand is how the Lakers have allowed the Blazers to beat them 10 straight times. It's not like POR had had Aldridge the last two years either.

They have better players, and we don't play defense at all that simple.

Because they have 2 perimeter players that are better than ours and our perimeter D sux

It's always Ray and Dame going off

When u have guards that attack, it makes a world of difference

Very frustrating knowing this game could have been big for the push to 8th. Hope the kids use this as learning experience and theyll eventually learn how to lock in and turn up the intensity collectively when challenged.

But yet we destroy the Warriors at home twice in the last two years? 90% of NBA rosters have better players than the Lakers. NO excuse to drop 10 in a row to POR, regardless if they look better on paper.

Well half the games are in Portland every year and we rarely ever when there even when we were title contenders. 90% of the time the team with the better players win those fluke wins vs GS not withstanding. We broke the streak with the Clippers cause their C team was out there last time. A team that's won only 35% of the games the last 2 and a half seasons shouldn't expect to come in and beat anyone honestly.

Don't forget about Dallas
Yep we're on a 12 game losing streak to them

Lmao...

We have won and loss to good teams.

We have won and loss to bad teams.

I don't know if the 10-10 start got folks gassed up but we were projected to win about 25 to 27 games and we are on pace for that.

Now matter what this is a very young team. I don't know of any team with our age that is a top tier team.

There will be times they look great and tines they look bad. Inconsistencies happen with very young teams.

You want to place all the blame on D.Lo? Cool.

But this entire roster has work to do and it's going to take patience which clearly some of us don't have.

But it's a new NBA. I know we want super stars byt nobody is leaving money on the table just to come to the Lakers anymore.

Adjust...please because this "Laker brand" nonsense people speak of is done.

These dudes continue to not show up in the second half of games. They can light it up in the 1st half then play like straight garbage in the second half. It's been happening all year.

i remember reading something like our record is terrible when we go into the 2nd half with the lead

He should of taken his little *** into the post last night instead of launching 3's after the scuffle

IIRC, something similar happened in the preseason. Dlo had him in the post and got an offensive foul called, Dame didn't like being pushed around and kinda got in his face then went off.

Dlo kinda avoided the confrontation, I didn't like that I was hoping he would stand up for himself.

I'm glad he stood his ground last night, of course he isn't as good as Dame at this point so he can't go bucket for bucket with him but at least he's showing heart.

Same with Julius, he never backs down from anyone. We need to see that from our young guys.

meh

things like this happen, someones team was gonna win regardless

game is over, move on...blazers got  other things to prove
Weak response. Blazers are in the same position record wise against the Lakers so they got just as much to prove as the Lakers in my book.

And as Lillard said, "I took it as a challenge" and we all know what happened next.

Yeah, DLo is young but that ain't an excuse. Rookie Bynum didn't back down from Shaq either but the difference is Bynum went right at Shaq the next play. 2nd year Kobe didn't back down from MJ either, and in fact scored over 30 points against MJ's Bulls. You remember that? lol Meanwhile, DLo started launching Brick 3 after Brick 3. So whatchu talkin bout "things like this happen, move on." LOL...DLo's character and will to win was tested and he failed yet again. Bottom line.

If it's true what Lillard said, that DLo has been trying to give him cheap shot elbows all season long, goes to show you that DLo trying to make up for his lack of skill and quickness by playing dirty. That doesn't fly well with me.

I bet Lillard got in his head and I wouldn't be surprised if DLo puts up stinkers against the Spurs and Pistons in the next two games.

dudes acting real hollywood in here

"i want stars" ...@wHipLAshTw03
And we gonna get stars. Don't believe me, just watch.

By the time DLo is 23-24 years old, he'll be a Clipper, replacing CP3 LOL.

And the Lakers' stars will be Brandon Ingram and another acquisition whether it's free agency or via trade
