**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

There's 9 teams worse than them, and 5 teams within 2.5 ahead.

The tank drifted away when we started 10-10

Nobody is tanking,

But these games are hard to watch. We lost something when those injuries hit and we have not been able to find it again...

Read somewhere that we get a protected top 3 lottery pick. Can't be true right?

It's a combination of injuries and the style of play.

Luke's doing the best he can with what he has, but at the same time teams & coaches have caught on and know that the permieter defense & especially with no interior defense or shot blockers all they have to do is stay close in games against and us and they have a good chance of pulling out close wins against us.

That's going to keep happening when you have a young core team like the Lakers have right now. Where this group of players are still trying to figure out how to win close games in the clutch. The vets on this team (Low Will, Deng, Mosgov) have never been go to clutch guys who can single handedly carry us to victories.

i totally forgot this is the same guy that was claiming Russell for Cousins on draft night was a done deal and he had "sources"

The format no longer exists, but I was once a blog writer for FoxSports.com from 2005-2008. And about 1-2 months before the trade happened, I wrote that the Lakers would acquire Pau Gasol from the Grizzlies. And the rest is history.

You can tell me I'm full of it all you want, but if I'm right about Boogie coming to the Lakers via trade, well...

And if I'm wrong, then I'll be the first to admit that my "source" fed me somethin' Chris Broussard lol
Your new name is "blog writer" from now on.

Not to make an excuse, but looking at the calendar the Lakers have either played a back to back or every other day (meaning they haven't had more than one day's rest) since November 18th. That's insane.

even with this super slide of games they are still 9th, and only 2.5 games back from Portland

Hard to watch last nice, especially from the stands :x TO's were horrible. Now 1-1 at Golden 1 Center, gonna have to take a trip to Staples this year to try to get above .500 :p

I can understand losing to the Knicks (who are playing well) and the Kings (road game, Boogie a tough cover), but they've got to win the next two vs the Nets and Sixers.

4 wins on this trip are realistic IF we were playing like the November Lakers

Now I'm hoping we win these next 2 and maybe get some confidence back and win one of the Florida games

considering the hot start, i didnt expect us to have a bad losing skid

but man, its really been 7 games. albeit, injuries and tough road trips didnt help

recent positives:

we got healthier

shots are falling for deng....geez

anyone else feel that Julius was soft last night.

he didnt shoot well but seemed out of the game after that boogie incident

they even showed them talking/joking prior to the 2nd half starting

where was the young bull?

Should have beat depleted Grizzlies, Suns and Knicks

Could have beat Jazz and Kings

How the hell are we 10-17??? Damn

Yea, it's been a tough couple of games for him. KP and Cousins dominated him, which is kinda expected.

Randle has to be going full tilt to reach his potential, especially defensively.

Clarkson has been a pile of steaming poop over the last 14 games

First 13 until 11/18: 15.4/ 2.7/ 2.1 on .497/.381/.828 on 12.4 FG & 3.4 Threes
Last 14 since then: 13.8/ 2.9 / 2.5 on .373/ .232 / .833 on 14.4 FG & 4 Threes

Just horrid

Do you guys think our young core should be getting more minutes to speed up development?
