Even tho he wasn't black, like that dude at Carl's Jr. that had the sledgehammer that he wouldn't have been able to swing even if he wanted to (R.I.P). Or other situations were cops claimed that their lives were in danger etc.

These cops had no intention of harming him like that. Stopping him, so that in the future he may have another chance to redeem himself
