Pair from NDC came in. Has some pre-creasing on the toe cap and sloppy glue job. Guess I got unlucky.

PL is thin and leather is stiff. Might send back.

On top of it, the Jordan 11 mystic and name doesn't ring bells like it used to.

The kids don't care about the shoe.
The problem is the young people don’t have a connection to a lot of Jordan sneakers. That’s why some are pushing the “Bring back the Gammas” campaign under every forum about the Jordan 11. The OG collectors are keeping the game alive with the story telling and history. To a lot of young collectors, they are simply sneakers. I am okay with that.

Wifey intercepted my package, wrapped it, and parked it under the tree. 🤦🏾‍ I waited 28 years for another decent pair, what is a few more days. 🤷🏾

There’s almost no difference between any of these XIs that have come out since 2016. All have an improved shape, high PL cuts, all use the cheapest materials possible, none of them are 1:1 with the OGs.

Having a preferred colorway I get but beyond that it’s just psychotic OCD that no one else you know would notice even if you told them to look for differences.

Got my pair today and they exceeded my expectations - in terms of how much folks complain about think PL. Granted, it ain’t the best - but my pair (China) is way better, with thicker PL - than both my Gratitude pairs. Maybe a China factory thing?

Did she inspect the shoe first before wrapping it up under the tree ? Toe pressure test?

I just rewatched the 1996 ASG in its entirety. I was 15 when I watched this game originally . It was so much fun. lol. First of all, that game reminds me why I dont watch ASGs today, or any NBA game today for that matter, and second of all, the shoes they all were wearing were so amazing.
MJs pair in that game may have been the most bland of any that he ever wore. It didnt matter though. We all back then had our eyes glued to the TV. Thats what this is all about to us old guys that will never resignate to the young cats. They dont have the stories, the nostalgia. Its no ones fault at all. But this younger generation does not understand how great the whole damn thing was back then.

Leaked pictures of the Aquas had me go back and rewatch the ‘93 game and yeah, night and day difference between how they compete. It’s been a joke for a while now though. Every now and then I go back and watch the 2012 ASG cause to me those are the best ASG sneakers in history but the game itself still left a lot to be desired. Letting alley oops happen, etc. just doesn’t sit right with me compared to earlier ASG’s. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree for our generation. But time moves along man. These kids like Kobe, Lebron,Steph. They have no recollection of Mike on the court, My pops liked Dr J. I could care less because I never seen him in real time like my father did. This generation only knows MJ for sneakers. Eventually Kobe, Lebron, and Steph will age out of whatever generation is running pop cultures memories and it will be someone else. The circle of life is undefeated.

I agree that Jordan's aren't @ the height of their popularity...but this whole thing where people act like J's don't matter anymore is corny, yet every release has sold out online including those berry 12's this holiday is a testament to people trying to carry a narrative of nobody wanting these just because they don't sell out in a matter of minutes.

First time seeing them. This was the most monumental on court easter egg to ever happen in sneakers; next to Mike Bibby and the Wildcats wearing the Foams before Penny. While watching this game, I had a crazy sense that Nick Anderson had to be wearing something special because he had a shinny toe, black heel collar, and icy sole. I had a feeling they were; then a quick close up confirmed my senses - Nick Anderson was wearing a new unreleased cw of the XI’s versus the man himself - and before the man himself. Blew my mind.
