I find it kind of strange to complain they gave you a regular OG Jordan XI box and say you'd return a pair you're otherwise happy with if you didn't pay $100 less. They switched the box when they made the model look closer to the OG so I couldn't care less about the "plain" box.I got my pair in and I'm actually really happy with them. Overall look and comfort seem right and I'm hoping the creasing isn't too crazy.
I am let down by the presentation though. 11s were always regarded above other retros, hence the special holiday release. I still remember my Space Jam retro from 09 with the sliding box and color coded shoetrees. Then I got the Concords (2018?) and no special box but at least it still came with these cool purple shoetrees.
Now these just have a regular Jordan box and are stuffed with paper but at the same time are more expensive then ever. It's a good thing I had $100 gift card or else I'd be returning them.
I see your point. What can I say? I like details and little extras. That 50 cents worth of plastic at least made it feel like I was getting my money's worth. I guess I'm just chasing nostalgia at this point as I approach my mid 30sI find it kind of strange to complain they gave you a regular OG Jordan XI box and say you'd return a pair you're otherwise happy with if you didn't pay $100 less. Those shoe trees were always trash and didn't stay put well so another thing I couldn't care any less about. I put better ones into every new pair anyway. OG's never came with plastic shoe trees lolHe's saying they could have at least provided plastic shoes trees, which I agree with considering the PL is so thin the paper stuffing warps the toe. Lol
Or they could've used better patent leatherHe's saying they could have at least provided plastic shoes trees, which I agree with considering the PL is so thin the paper stuffing warps the toe. Lol
Companies are actively cutting costs and trying to use plastic less, no way the plastic accessories are going to continue to be included.
Just highlighting for the folks crying about a shoe treeI mean they already stopped years ago.
I agree wit the side out boxes. But i want that shoe tree tho. Especially for these prices.Ehh I got my kicks in the 90’s with a regular box and paper stuffed in them. I don’t see the issue. Those sliding boxes were always a pain to me anyways. I’ve honestly chosen other shoes to put on just because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of getting XI’s out of the box before lol.
