THIS IS TRUE...BACK IN '98, THE WHITE/RED/GREY TOE SAMPLES WERE ORIGINALLY SUPPOSED TO BE RRLEASED AS PART OF THE SPRING '98 LINEUP, BUT MJ PERSONALLY DITCHED THE COLORWAY ALTOGETHER, AND WHAT WE ENDED UP WITH IS THE WHITE/BLACK/RED VERSION WITH THE BLACK PODS THAT WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE.
PERSONALLY, I WOULDA LOVED THESE BACK THEN... WHEN I WAS WORKIN' AT FOOT LOCKER BACK THEN IN '98, WE USED TO GET A POSTER OF UPCOMING RELEASES THAT WE KEPT IN THE STOCKROOM, AND THE GREY TOE VERSON WAS ON THE POSTER...BUT, WHEN THEY CAME IN, AND I SAW THAT THEY SWITCHED IT UP, I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST,SMH. THOSE SAMPLES ARE A VERY RARE PAIR... IN FACT, THE ONLY PERSON I'VE EVER ACTUALLY SAW WITH A PAIR WAS LIL' FLIP BACK THEN, AND THAT WAS BACK WHEN ACTIVE ATHLETE OUT HERE IN H-TOWN USED TO SELL THE ACTUAL SALES SAMPLES IN A SIZE 9. BUT, FLIP WAS ALWAYS IN THERE BUYING THE SAMPLES. I REMEMBER THAT SUMMER IN '98, THE BLACK/RED PLAYOFF XIII's JUST CAME OUT, AND DUDE BUSTED UP IN THE SKATING RINK WITH THE WHITE/RED XIV's ON, A WHOLE 9 MONTHS BEFORE THEY DROPPED! LOL... NEEDLESS TO SAY, BOYS FEELINGS WERE HURT,LOL...

If that pearl grey sample pair ever release it would be a dream come true for me. I've been hungry for over a decade.lol I think i still remember printing out pictures that shoetrends had of. Grey toe 2005s I was never feeling as much.
