That’s exactly what happened to me. I was on the fence about them until I saw Luka wear them with the black uniforms, which really made them pop..

Basically says its an ankle sprain possibility in these because of the narrow heel.

I think the 4 looks way better. This is an ugly shoe while being boring. Heard the heel width is an issue. And the colorways so far have been meh

I got a pair. Before I saw that youtube review or comments elsewhere, I tried on my pair. Felt solid but also felt like a block. I wondered about ankle sprains. I wasn't a fan of the shrunken tread or the rounded off edges. I was going to shoot around in them and then decide. Saw the review and the comments and it lines up with what I already thought. I don't feel like experimenting, they don't feel that perfect personally for my own foot, and I have other shoes to play in, so mine are going back. Hope the shoe does well and other people continue to love it.

Review from earlier today. He likes them a lot for comfort. Says if you have foot issues these are great, and suggest going a half size up. Traction "gets the job done" with some wiping. At 5:30 he echoes the same ankle rolling concerns other reviewers and commenters have mentioned.

Went to Champs today thinking I'll be picking up the Bred Luka 5. They look very similar to the Luka 1, but added the fats to match Luka's present build
. They are comfortable, real close to KD14 comfort, but they look real cheap and the chubby toe down view looks weird so I had to walk away.

Tried on the black color way today.
Really odd experience …. they were simultaneously comfortable and uncomfortable AF.
Super short toe box in TTS. No breathing room for the toes and you should have a thumbs width.
Way too narrow forefoot with that plastic cage digging into the side of the foot.
Really anorexic and unstable heel, could see easily rolling an ankle in these.
But the build quality felt good and underfoot comfort is something I haven’t experienced in awhile and definitely not in a Luka shoe. Even though last year was an improvement with the 4.
Skipping the 5. It’s ugly, has all the issues mentioned, even though the underfoot comfort was very nice

3rd to last day at the 3rd LA Fitness court to close/be pulled out for a cross training area in just over two years, the sport has social cancer and is being removed due to that, anyway as far the Luka’s are concerned they’re not bad but they feel somewhat hollow in the forefoot, the sole feels like it was engineered for double stacked zoom in the front, not bad 7/10, guard shoe(I’m a big).

Some knuckleheads at that LA Fitness always arguing? What does "social cancer" mean? Also that sucks. A long time ago there was a new la fitness coming and I kept hounding them about if it would have a basketball court and they just led me on and on forever and when it finally opened, well of course there wasnt one

I’m 44 now and haven’t played a pickup game in 13 years. How come these places aren’t putting basketball courts or shutting them down and putting pickle ball courts instead? When I work with players I’m fortunate to be able to have access to a high school gym.

I don't know. I mean I'd guess it's the toxic elements of basketball that are manifesting at these La Fitness runs? I always hated how little the court was. So cramped compared to a normal actual gym. Seems to exacerbate any problems.
Also with the prevalence of social media and cameras and pranks and combined with the likely age of basketball players vs pickleball or tennis players, people playing recreational basketball or pickleball or tennis will be wildly different people.
I'm older than you and I remember (as many here likely do) growing up and going from place to place before social media looking for a game, and when you find some people finally, inevitably the police would roll by checking everybody's plates. Like that's how far back it goes, to the 80s, of it being viewed as having "social cancer". It sucks. I just wanna hoop man. Not trying to argue with anybody.
