Jordan Luka 5

So finally, is half size up the way to go?
No 13.5 was produced, I have no “natural size” in these ☹️
I keep looking and I haven’t found any, which seems odd.
Luka shoe, no hype, no fan base, he’s not as marketable in the sneaker market as Nike would like to think, similar market to Jokic but with upside cause the majority of his fans seem to be schoolboys.

He’s leading the all star vote.

I’m seeing 2 colorways, and both have the exact same bright lime green. What is going on? IF you’re going to have crazy colors, keep it to 1. Tatums have multiple pink colors, Lukas have multiple neon green…does anyone wear normal color sneakers anymore?

They've been doing this for a least 15 years now - releasing the crazy colorways first, and so if you want to be the first with a pair, you have to get the neon purple ones or something

Crazy part to me is the grinch pinch - the extra 10 bucks for the grinch tax

It’s wild - one colorway makes sense, but every single option is a crazy color combo.

Welp, no reviews and other options available so I skipped the 2 colorways that launched today for now. Maybe I'll circle back.

No time, pulled the trigger at ****’s, 13 should be fine on court, can’t have slippage. These are full length zoom toaster strudel so that hunk boy band guy from YouTube is definitely gonna call these “bad boys”.

Alright y'all, here's my performance review after an hour+ of run. I'm 6'2, 200-205lbs.

Traction: On par with the Sabrina 3 (both translucent and solid rubber). I was playing on a somewhat dusty court and had to wipe every so often but never a problem.

Cushion: Full length zoom air strobel and cushlon 3.0 feels amazing after playing in Sabrina 3's. I was developing pain in my metatarsals, not an issue with the Luka 5's. Really feels reminiscent of the KD 12 (gonna be a common theme).

Support: The isoband is pliable and rubbery, seems like an odd departure for the Luka line that focuses on stability for footwork. The green side panels do a good job of keeping your foot from sliding off the foot bed on hard lateral movement. Support is on the weaker side to me, I swap out the insoles on all my ball shoes to the gameday pro so I was ok with it. Oddly the stock insole is floppy foam vs the styrofoam feeling insoles of other zoom strobel shoes (KD12-14, Hustle 2). Also there's cloth in between the insole and strobel so be careful when removing.

Stability: No outrigger, no problem, The sole is wide enough where I never felt unstable.

Fit: Length is TTS, width is wide foot friendly. I have a narrow foot and I have to crank down on the laces.

Conclusion: The Luka 5 reminds me so much of the KD12 I loved playing in. Adequate support, good traction, great cushion. The KDs ran narrower which were perfect for my foot shape really feeling 1 to 1. These are a winner and I will be reupping on these throughout the year.

Thank you, I figured the cushlon would at least give me some give per say, I feel better about my purchase now.

Much appreciated! How was the breathability?
