Aerotek is legit...I started working for Wells Fargo last summer with a group of about 20 other people at the same time, and some of them had been recruited via Aerotek...the people I talked to really liked Aerotek, and the way they handled them in finding them a job. Ultimately, I suppose it depends on the job, but I think you should play it out.Originally Posted by UPPTEMPO8387
I received a call from Aerotek (a staffing agency) and the woman I spoke to said she came across my resume and was interested in speaking with me about a position as a Job Recruiter. We had about a 10 min conversation about the requirements and responsibilities of the job and then set up a screening call on Monday. However, through my research online some people said it was a shady company and a few people said it was a pyramid scheme.
The thing that confused me though was that the woman I spoke to said I would be making $40k a year to start plus commission. So then how would that be a pyramid scheme? I've had a few pyramid scheme guys offer me jobs but they were always commission only which raised a red flag causing me to avoid them.
Does anybody have experience with Aerotek? I'm still gonna go through with the screening call on Monday but just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them
Yeah I heard about the scandal..haven't thought bout Atlanta..the only other states I have thought about are Vermont, Massachusetts, NJ, and North Carolina..Originally Posted by marmourjr
You should apply for teaching jobs in Atlanta. They're are seriously looking for teachers due to the latest CRCT cheating scandal. There are programs you can join; Teach for America, MATReC (Atlanta), TeachGeoriga. They will pay you while training.Originally Posted by dmxgod
Well another update on my progress..something must seriously b wrong with me to not get this job or offered it..
This teaching assistant job that I interviewed last week only paid 9.64 with full benefits..and I would be able to finish my graduate work while working told me that they could not offer me a position for some reason..a TEACHING ASSISTANT job..when I have been a teacher for over 2.5 years already..I didn't say anything wrong because she barely asked me any questions..and I responded with an enthusiastic manner as well..I don't understand what these coordinators/human resource people think sometimes to not offer someone with a diverse body of teaching experience already to warrant me to get offered the position..smh..
My interviews today in Brooklyn went aight..I wasn't into one of the schools because they just seemed rude..so I would not take that position if it was offered to me..but I think did well at the other school..and I would like to work there if they offered me..
Friday gotta go to another interview around my area..then Monday got an interview in the Bronx..I keep on plugging away..
