I have a friend of a friend of a friend that works with Ludacris and theyhippped me to something that might go down this weekend. There is a concert coming out over the weekend that featuresT.I., Jeezy, Jim Jones and Nina Sky. Well, I am hearing T.I. is going to have an incredible set, but Ludacris is going to get all the attention. I am hearing Luda is bringing out Nas,Jadakiss, and Jay-Z. The strange thing is that Jim Jones is on the stage the set prior to Luda. Bothnas and Jay have an ongoing tiff with J.J. Now, with this whole fight thing at the Louiestore in NYC, I am hearing something is about to brew. I heard Jay is going to "address some things" at the concert and needs like fiveminutes.

JAY Z BEEFS UP SECURITY … PREPARES FOR WAR WITH JIM JONES AND THE DIPSET

December 28, 2008. This may just be the calm before thestorm folks. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that ever since the brutal attack by associates of rapper Jim Jones on R&B singer Ne-Yo and Jay Z's bestfriend Tyran "Ty-Ty" Smith, Jay Z is hunkering down.

According to one of MediaTakeOut.com's snitches Jay Z now has round the clock armed guards (legally armed, that is) surrounding him. Before the incident,The insider explained, "[Jay Z] always had bodyguards, but he only used them when he was going out. Now they're within shouting distance even whenhe's at home."

Sounds like a tough way to live ...
Jim Jones Turns Himself In To Police After Alleged Fight With Jay-Z Associate

Rapper appears at NYPD precinct on Monday to discuss Christmas Eve incident at Louis Vuitton store.
By Shaheem Reid

Jim Jones' first order of business in 2009 was to meet with the police. The capo of the Diplomats and leader of the up-and-coming Byrd Gang crew appeared at the 18th precinct in New York on Monday morning (January 5) to talk to investigators about an incident that allegedly occurred on Christmas Eve.

The details of the event are sketchy at this point: Police believe Jones and/or members of his crew were involved in a physical altercation with Ne-Yo and/or one or more of his entourage at the Louis Vuitton store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. According to several blog reports, including MissInfo.tv, members of Jones' entourage fought with an associate of Jay-Z's who works for Ne-Yo. That associate is said to be the brother of longtime Jay-Z friend and business colleague Tyran "Ty Ty" Smith. (Early reports said it was Ty Ty himself, but those were later refuted.)

"I don't wanna talk about that," Jones told MTV News last week, refusing to comment on the incident. "Nah, we not doing that, let's stop that right there. Let's not do that. We above that."

On Monday, strangely, a representative for the NYPD told MTV News that no report of the incident was on file. A representative for the Louis Vuitton store was unable to be reached for comment.

Over the holidays, Jim certainly wasn't dodging the public eye. He had a slot on December 27 at Hot 97's Holiday Bash concert at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, along with Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes and T.I.

A meeting with New York City authorities this morning (Jan 5) has resulted in a misdemeanor assault charge for rapper Jim Jones, his attorney toldAllHipHop.com.

The Dipset leader turned himself in to the NYPD's 18th Precinct to discuss an alleged Christmas Eve altercation.

According to several conflicting reports, Jones was involved in a melee with singer/songwriter Ne-Yo and members of his entourage at the Fifth Avenue LouisVuitton store in Manhattan on December 24.

Jones surrendered to the NYPD in accordance with arrangements made by attorney Scott Leemon last week, Leemon told AllHipHop.com

While details of the incident remain unclear, the information provided by Jones was enough to warrant a charge and a summons for a desk appearance.

He is scheduled to appear in court on February 4. Jones was released without bail immediately after making his statement, Leemon told AllHipHop.

He declined to comment further on the case.

As for Jones, he has declined to speak on the matter, despite several public appearances over the holidays.

At press time, a spokesperson for the NYPD could not be reached for comment.
