Jay-Z is the most CONSISTENT rap artist ever.

Henz is so godly he has e-foot soldiers now? Thats neat. Anyway, its really not that hard to understand, Jay is NT's favorite rapper and whenever you say something negative about him, peoples feathers get ruffled.
Ain't nobody feathers ruffled.

Everyones entitled to their own opinion.

Jay's introspective records >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nas's party records.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious

You take one of Jay's best abilities and say that its better than NaS' WORST ability

Let me know when Jay makes a flawless album

Thats the point though...they both have flaws and specialties.

They are different artists. Thats the beauty of art in general.

But its always more rewarding to root for the underdog and criticize the titan. Totally forgetting that the name Nas was always followed with a punchline priorto Stillmatic and Jay lighting a fire under his !+#. Now all of a sudden Nas has never had a low point in his career and hes a flawless MC. Thats just as badas the Jay stans, who can't admit his faults.

No he's not.

Pac isn't touching Jay lyrically, production, and overall albums.

I'll take Me Against the World, All Eyez on Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory over any 3 Jay-Z albums. Production wise, I'll give you it.Lyrically maybe, but this was only true before Jay fell off hard. Either way Jay doesn't compare to the emotion Pac put into his music and the subjects hetouched on. It's much more deep than just boring brag raps. I'd rather hear Pac any day.

Yeh too bad the album had 25 tracks on it. I guess Encore is a classic then because half of it was good.

Well, with an album with all of the tracks I listed, is considered a 'fire' album

No its just the Jay stan in you won't allow you to admit a skid mark in his catalogue. It's OK I understand.

I've said this a million times, Pac gets held in high regard because of his off the court talent. As far as actual music he was great, but notthe best, shot not even top 5 on the mic to be for real, what it means to be a real MC, shot lupe fiasco's kick push II had just as complicated and messedup story as Brenda's got a baby also Jay-z meet the parents. Now as far as most influential black americans, Pac def deserves to be on the same list asMayo Angelou, he inspired his generation, and I believe that whole heartedly, like look what he did for those kids inthe hood and how he showed that blackpeople are more complicated in there gun slingning than anyone had everyone see before, but on the Mic he wasn't as great as he is put out there to be.

Pac isnt touching 95% of rappers lyrically

Public Enemy sucks?
Pac the most overrated rapper ever?
The only bad album Jay has ever made is KC?

I'm not claiming Pac wasn't overrated or was top 5, but I still take him over Jay-Z.

95% is just ridiculous. More like 35%. If you wanna look at mainstream today, more like 5%.

(1994)
Illmatic >*

(1995)
Nas> Jay
Jay wasn't doing *+@@, Nas was one of the biggest dudes in NY. He did his thing on AZ album also. "Verbal Intercourse" verse.

(1996)
Reasonable Doubt > It Was Written
They came out the SAME year, same era, Jay's product is flat out BETTER. But @ the same time "If I Ruled The World", "I Gave You Power"& "Street Dreams" RMX are far better than anything Jay was making @ that time. Jay just put togeather one of the greatest albums, NaS' wasall over the place.

(1997)
In My Lifetime Vol 1 >
Not really close IMO, but I will Nas was doin his Firm *+@@.

(1998/1999)
Hard Knock Life > I Am...
Prolly not a popular choice for most. Tho I do feel like Nas was the better MC @ this point in time

(1999)
Volume 3 = Nastradamus
I hold them in the same regard. 2 garbage albums

(2000)
Dynasty
Another garbage album. I'm not really sure what exactly Nas was doin, prolly wasn't anything too significant.

(2001)
Stillmatic > Blueprint
There's almost equal, I just feel like Stillmatic is just the Mama Said Knock You Out of 2000s, people counted Nas out (myself included) then he just cameand flatened Jay Z.

(2002)
God's Son > Blueprint 2
Too much filler on BP2, but I do feel like lyrically Jay had an edge on Nas as far as who's the better MC. I mean Jay ripps through the solid joints onBP2.

(2003)
The Black Album >
Just a great album, can't take ANYthing away from this joint. (Watching Fade To Black right now... Nas couldn't do this *+@@
smh.gif
)

(2004)
Streets Disciple >
Pretty solid album, should have been shaved down to a single disc. Some of the tracks are just random. Jay was "retired"

(2005)
I don't really remember either one of them doing anything soo significant.

(2006)
Hip Hop Is Dead > Kingdome Come
Not really much to say, KC is a *+@@ sandwhich. I would put "Beach Chair" up with Nas best record from 06 (whatever that was?)

(2007/08)
Untitled > American Gangster
These 2 albums are basically what they've become as men, Jay is tryin to recapture his glory as a coke dealin rapper cause he sees its popular again. Notsure what happened to that mature *+@@ he was doin. Untitled is just foward thinking, I mean as a man of color these days I just find Untitled to be a muchmore inlegient and appropriate album. I guess it all depends on who you are as a person.
