JAMES BOND movie thread: RIP Sir Sean Connery - NO TIME TO DIE 10/08/21

I think a lot of people already put him up there with connery. I haven't watched a lot of Bond films so I'm not sure of the rankings. I do like how Craig is a beast and his fight scenes are savage.

I wish I was more into movies when it was announced Craig was cast as Bond. I know there was a lot of fan backlash. I wonder how nt responded to his casting at the time. A lot of complaints about him being blonde and not suave / smooth looking like Brosnan.

Yeah i'd already say he's considered up there with Connery by the masses and a lot of hardcord Bond-fans. If there's anything left to prove this next film's going to do it.

Craig is my fave bond. Still want Idris to be the next one tho he said no chance. But somehow the guy from homeland has a chance :{

Bond franchise might go to WB after this next movie. WB has been making moves sealing talents. Wonder who the next director would be if Sony loses the Bond licensing,

Every bond has been cheesy and at times corny. Craig made him a believable spy imo

Honestly that's what revived the franchise and made skyfall so successful.

I like brosnan but some of his scenes were so corny. Forgot which movie it was but he was hang gliding on a huge wave in the artic. The backdrop was so bad

^Die Another Day

Funnily enough they tried to do a darker, grittier Bond back in the day with Timothy Dalton, and people weren't feeling it. Just goes to show that times change.

I remember watching a doc on the bond franchise and how they said the franchise/spy genre suffered because of the Austin power movies so maybe that's why Craig's dark spy was more welcomed people wanted a change from the cheesy smooth womanizing James Bond.

People weren't ready for a change I guess. It's cool Dalton is flourishing on the Penny Dreadful show. He could play like an old, retired Bond at this point.

Got excited for the movie and watched the trailer again.

IDK if there is a car thread i should post this in. Nitpicky complaint and not a complaint I have about the movie but the car itself

That thing should not be so high off the ground. Have some class Aston Martin. You are supposed to rep british engineeering. Your cars arent supposed to look like the goofy **** ****** in cali bounce around on 3 wheels in.

Looking at these info post has me waiting to watch some Bond movies

What are some of y'all favs or maybe this is for the Sorry thread ?

I got to say, Casino Royale is probably hands down my favorite. I'd follow that with a tie for Dr. No and Goldfinger, then Skyfall and From Russia with Love for my top 5 with GoldenEye sitting just outside for honorable mention.

I can't even watch the pre-Craig James Bond films after Casino Royale. So damn good

I had seen layer cake, so you could kinda see elements of what he would do

I wasn't a huge fan of pierce Brosnan, so I welcomed the change
