Great album. Was lucky enough to see Braids live with Toro Y Moi and they put on a real solid show, at least once the venue sound guy gets their volume levels right. "Lemonade" is my **** :smokin

Not so big on LCD Soundsystem but MAN did James Murphy capture that 70s NYC sound here.

Los Bebes

NO AGE

between this thread and the jazz thread. I"m goign to have to upgrade my hard drive again

Not an old head, just a music lover. A lot of the 70s punk bands influenced a lot of the bands that would be called "indie" these days. I kind of just worked my way back in time. I work in a studio and one of the other assistants plays these 70s bands all day every day. When all you hear is Television, New York Dolls, Velvet Underground, Butthole Surfers, Blondie, and Talking Heads is all you hear during the day... it's hard not to become a fan. :lol
:hat I heard a lot of Talking Heads growing up.

This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) by The Talking Heads is in my top ten all time great songs...

Bob Mould - The Descent

Former Husker Du singer/guitarist has a new album coming out. He's always putting out really great work but never reaches a big audience...It's a shame....Great song, great vid...

Divine Fits - Would That Not Be Nice

Spoon's Britt Daniels teaming up with Wolf Parade/Handsome Furs' Dan Boeckner, and New Bomb Turks' Sam Brown. Album to drop 8/28...

I second that. This is a little video he made for "House," watch it all the way through.

good looking out on that house video brah..

it definitely gave me some positive vibes... which were much needed.

Randomly stumbled upon a group named Lockets recently and they apparently had an album come out a few weeks ago. It's a really catchy Dream Pop album. If you like bands like Beach House and Memoryhouse, check it out. Their sound is a little bit more manufactured (for a lack of a better word) than the aforementioned groups, but still a good listen nonetheless. Been listening to their album a lot this past week. I really enjoy it.

Memoryhouse is dope man thanks for putting me on! And I'm not sure if Lana qualifies for this thread anymore but she just dropped a new track that is flames.

^ Unfortunately, their album was pretty underwhelming to me, but I'll always respect them for "The Years EP." I love that EP.

Gonna add something a little Chillwave-y to the mix. Looking forward to hearing his album in October. Apparently this kid is only 17-years-old 8o:

i was on that fleet foxes heavy earlier.. indie folk at it' s finest.

now it's beach house. :smokin

Ultraista - Static Light & Smalltalk

Long Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich's newest project featuring singer Laura Bettinson & musician Joey Waronker. Nigel had a great series call From The Basement that had various bands playing live from his studio including people from Beck, The White Stripes, Band Of Horses, Fleet Foxes, etc. The link to his site is below.
