^ The "coffee shops" mentioned previously are the janky chain type ones in my experience there. My advice if you are into that sort of thing would beto take yourself to Barney's Breakfast bar (north part of the city sort of by the train station), fill up a breakfast bong and get some "englishbreakfast" (i.e. bacon and eggs and not that nutella crap and a piece of bread). Then head to "The Grey Area" (hands down the best shop in thecity, and I've had this co-signed by many a visitor), and fill one of their many Jerome Baker pieces and enjoy. I'd recommend the big guy withJerome's signature on the front if it is still around, that is my and apparently Dave Attel's favorite. Also, be on the look out for some"Isolator" hash. It is keif processed into hash and contains about 50% THC. As a verteran smoker of over a decade I can say nothing I've everseen/had before or since has ever compared to this stuff. A little dab on top of some herb will get you lost in the city for hours.

Oh and one more thing... I'm not sure which Blind Pig you are staying in (Museum district, or just outside of the Red light district), but nothing comparedto the bars there for late night. Once everything outside of the Red Light district closed up we'd always head back to the hostel bar and I swear everynight we'd meet some girls. It didn't hurt my boy looks like "Justin Timberlake" apparently, but still, everyone is traveling, lit andlooking to meet people.
