It's not an opinion. He said he wants to stop gambling but can't because of his addiction. Why anybody would tell him to carry on with his addiction is beyond me
he's just saying that cuz he's down, gamblers fallacy. If he hit some jackpot on a slot machine or a royal flush or something you wouldn't hear nothing about an addiction :lol
I don't know a lot about everything, but sneakers and gambling are things I can give advice on :lol

I'm sure you posted your gambling addiction on NT because you are anonymous, so you feel free to post your issues with no shame or remorse.

My advice would be to tell people close to you (GF, close friends, family, mentors, etc) about your problem, so they can keep you accountable. If you seriously have a problem, it's going to be incredibly tough to overcome this alone without being accountable for your actions.

Good luck man

Going back and gambling small amounts isn't doing anything to better your situation.

Thanks everyone on the advice (s). Like someone said, I'm the only person who can solve this problem. Fortunately, after a rough month, I'm not in debt or anything. Can only start fresh from here. Gonna limit myself to one casino trip per week. Most I'll bring is $150 cash and leave all cards at home. If I lose, oh well. The only issue is if I'm up and not leaving when I should. After all this, I think I've learned to value money more. Sold a lot of my favorite shoes so that basically made me not give a damn about kicks anymore lol. There is no easy money in this world. We all gotta work and earn it. If you don't gamble, don't go to casinos. If you win your first few times, expect to give all that back if you do go back. Whatever you win will eventually go back to casinos, and whatever you lose will be gone. Losing $10K in a month is a lot and could've been for savings, but it's better that I realize this problem now before it gets out of hand and I lose much more in the future. Just don't want another person out there making the same mistakes I did.

makes sense and I was the person who said only you know how serious the issue is :lol
Same thing I started doing once I felt the losing was getting a little out of hand. I also winded up selling a few of my kicks, nothing I couldn't live with though. Went straight to the casinos :{

yup. If you don't gamble you wouldn't understand. Just like if you don't smoke weed you can't be telling other cats how it feels, that's why I don't discuss it :lol

And OP I would limit it to once every other week or once a month. Once a week seems like not too much but weeks go by almost like days nowadays. And 150×52 is 3750, once every other week reduces it in half, which is next to nothing over 12 months

One of the most popular trolls agree with you but ok. You're one of these dudes that have their head so far up their *** they can't even see how they're not always right
OP agreed with me too, and ultimately it's his situation and his way of solving an issue he feels he may have. He ain't gambling with your or my paper so he's gonna do what he's gonna do. If he goes once a week it's a guarantee at least one time he's gonna win good money. Whether he plays it back or not is on him

you gotta go man, it's fun

That's what I hear but I'm not into gambling and I don't have good luck

It's a rush when you win especially for the first time it's like drugs or sex a very bad addiction could come of it
Atleast for myself

Do you just gamble on your phone or something with play money? You really think there's guarantees for winning at casinos? Do you not understand odds? Do you not understand why casinos are raking in crazy amounts of money?
